Tegaderm heals difficult woundsTegaderm is the standard of care for wounds small and large. Why are we still using band aids? I suspect it is because these are from a European company. When living in west Africa, I had a large wound which would not heal. I got some of these and it healed. Apparently they allow body fluids to accumulate, which helps to heal yet it breathes so does not get anaerobic growth. These are the smallest you can get at this time but they often fit. I use them instead of band aids whenever I can. I wish pharmacies would start to carry them with some education about them. 5Not Natural Rubber BUT also NOT Latex-Free -Beware of Listed Description!WARNING: The description states this Latex Free, but sadly, they aren t. I have the rash and welts around my surgical incisions to prove it. Note that it is not made with Natural Rubber, but that doesn t actually make it Latex Free. I don t know if these are manufactured in the same facility as latex or if the synthetic is just so close to real latex that it basically might as well be Latex, but my body is definitely not happy with these.I wish they would have worked out. If you aren t allergic to Latex, these would,be great. They are super soft on, stick well, and if you have a reaction they don t hurt too much to peel off. 1Helps with medical patches. A full price review.Unfortunately for me, illness requires me to wear medical patches. This tegaderm keeps those patches on, waterproof, contaminant proof and sweatproof so the full life and benefit of my medical patches reach full benefit. this is the right size to cover most medical patches, and it does not leave a stick residue. This is the stuff you may see to secure IVs in a hopsital. I can't wear the patches without this. I paid full price for this item, so this is a non biased review. If this review did help you, please click "yes" below. 5Goodbye to regular bandaids!I had some bad road rash scrapes on my knees that were such a nuisance when walking or just anything every day (who would have thought) and I was using regular bandaids, but a friend told me about these. So I immediately got some and guess what... After just one day I can see a huge difference! Not only can I see the wounds healing, but it's easy and much more flexible.With regular bandaids, I felt like it was drying out faster and just harder to walk because of the lack of flexibility. I was also having to switch out at least 2-3 times throughout the day, but the Tegaderm just seals it and makes it feel cleaner. It's easy to apply and it's sticking well to my knee that sees a lot of movement. For any cuts or scrapes, I'm going to be using these from now on! 5Perfect for my Fentanyl patchsI have been using these patches/dressing for several years. I use them predominantly for my Fentanyl patches. Let me explain a bit on why I use and like this item:I must have pissed someone off in an earlier life! I say this because I am hairy than a gosh-darn monkey; the missing link one might say. Anyhow, I am also a chronic pain patient. Problem was, the fentanyl patches would not stick to my arm (go ahead say it...ewww gross...hairy arms). Yes, I get it, it is gross. But what am I gonna do right? Moving on, sooooo I needed something that could keep the patch on and continue to keep it on for 2-3 days. Well these worked poifect.Like I said, I have been using these for over 2 years without a problem. Besides my curse, they also keep the water off them when I shower. Occasionally, the corners will start dog-earing but I have yet to have them come completely off for over 5 days (I believe that was the longest).All in all great product. These babies can cost in excess of 15$ for 8 and normal drug-stores. I definitely recommend this product to anyone in the line for infection prevention or my cursed dilemma. 5VERY HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT; BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARSI've been purchasing this product for years to cover a continuous glucose monitor. The edges occasionally loosen and roll just the tiniest bit because my skin is so dry due to a skin condition. Since my current monitor is worn for 6 days at a time, if the edges lift a little, I just put another one on across the original. 5Extremely effective with Fentanyl patch!My husband wear a patch for back pain and he constantly had problems with the corners of the patch peeling up within 8 hours of application. They also fell off in the shower or if he got sweaty. This isn't just an inconvenience it's a safety issue since we have dogs who eat anything they find. A partially used patch could easily kill a small dog! The tegaderm patches cover the medical patch completely and not one millimeter peeled up even after a hot shower. I. Dry much recommend these for anyone who uses rx patches. 5These are the most amazing replacements for bandagesThese are the most amazing replacements for bandages. You can take showers with them on and the wound is totally protected. Other similar dressings really irritated the skin surrounding the wound but after several days of using these, the skin improved to normal, because the film really does let the skin breathe. I got this at the behest of my doctor for a difficult-to-heal deep wound on my shin, but I will always keep some of these around for future scrapes and scuffs. Highly recommended for any home or travel first aide kit. Great price point here as well. 5NO worries, NO more!!!As usual...working perfectly!!I wear a Duragesic/ Fentanyl Pain Patch to manage my (excruciating) back pain from multiple herniated discs, suffered from a tumble down a flight of steep stairs. (I know...Ouch!!) I need to change-out/replace my patch, by Dr's order, every couple of days. I use these Tegaderm films to cover, secure, & seal my patch in place. It protects my patch from accidentally coming off whether it's from bathing/showering, sweating, or even swimming, as well as accidentally rubbing off, or getting peeled off from normal everyday activity, or just restlessly rolling over in bed. (NOT fun searching high & low thru the bed linen!)I cannot emphasize how much I LOVE these things! Prior to finding & using them it was such a struggle keeping my patches on. If you're using anything similar to a pain patch - like a "Quit Smoking" or other "Time-Release" type of patch - I would highly recommend these! It will save you from the countless frustrations of accidentally "losing" one. The cost of buying these is MINIMAL compared to worrying if your patch accidentally falls off & falls into the wrong hands - like a small child or a beloved pet - who can be endangered by ingesting that patch! Or having to go a day or two, WITHOUT a patch, because they can't just be simply replaced. Trust me...been there, done that! So glad that after I started using these I NEVER had to worry about that ever again! Or as stated above, frantically looking thru your bedding! (NOTE: Shop around, tho, as many different Vendors offer these & their prices can vary widely! (Depending on the size of the film & the Qty you require.) This particular Vendor offered a very fair price for the amt I needed & sent my order in a very timely manner.) I hope this helps anyone wondering IF they even need these. Trust me...you probably DO!!!(BTW: They're transparent so you can label them w/ the date you put your patch on, or when you need to change it.) 5Just what I needed....I purchased these because I have to wear some medical patches and the last several orders that I've used, they did not want to stick properly. After a lot of unsuccessful effort in trying to get the patches to stick, I finally thought of Tegaderm. Hospital staff have used these on me too many times to recall, so I thought I'd give them a try on the patches. They have been a God send. The patches finally stay on as they are suppose to do. The order arrived quickly & it is nice to have enough in the box that I don't have to worry about running out every couple of weeks. I will most certainly order these again. 5
