It just works!My chiropractor and PT team introduced me to this! Although I never know quite what to call this little thingie, it is a great way to relax the erector spinae and other muscles in your back! When I feel like I'm getting tight or knotted up, I roll up and down the wall on this, rolling small sections at a time, even my shoulders. You'll feel it getting off center, so stop and realign so that your spine is in the center between the balls. (okay, yes, I giggled slightly as I wrote this!) I don't like using it on the floor. The wall works best for me.5but I bought to use on neck and no matter how well or how high I try to put my hair up in a hair tie the rubber on the balls catches the little fine hairs and pulls them right outProduct is well made, but I bought to use on neck and no matter how well or how high I try to put my hair up in a hair tie the rubber on the balls catches the little fine hairs and pulls them right out. I bought rubber so ball would not slide around, but rubber is not good if you have hair anywhere near where your rolling. I tried on the wall, on the floor and even tried to lay on it in bed. As you roll it on neck it works it's way up and catches my hair. Probably would be fantastic for someone with shaved head.3My favorite therapy toy!I was skeptical of this, but I got it on a whim when purchasing some individual therapy balls. Well, I use this way more than the individual balls now. I regularly suffer from miserable muscle tension at the base of my skull and in my upper back. This simple, affordable little gizmo works better for me that any of the foam rollers, back massagers, accupressure mats or other tools I've tried. I looked up a couple short videos online to get an idea how to position it, laying on the floor with a towel to support my head, and tried it out. The peanut roller is small, designed to fit so it applies pressure on either side of your spine. Being able to use your body weight while in a relaxed position to apply pressure to the muscle knots provides major relief. Glad I didn't spend more money on a more elaborate similar item, because this one works!!5Very firm, surprisingly effectiveRecommended by a physical therapist, I gave it a try. They don't look like much. I put it on the floor and laid on top and wow, it really pressed into my muscles. They are very hard but light enough to put in your purse or backpack to use as needed. The ball picked up cat fur which clung (static electricity?)... well, hello not-Martha-Stewart. Rinsed clean under the faucet, and dried with a towel, voila! Good as new. I've used many tools for trigger point therapy over the years- tennis balls, inflatable balls, foam rollers, knobby plastic canes.... I'm not sure why, but this works better than all of them. It's there perfect combination of size, stiffness, and cushion.Also, I love the double ball configuration because I can place it between a tight muscle and the wall and I have a lot of control over keeping it right where I want it. Tennis balls tend to fall to the floor often.5Works greatI tried my daughter's and it worked well for the back of my neck so I bought one for myself. The problem I've got relates to the vertebrae in my neck, which pain can translate into a transcervical migraine. I don't like to take drugs for migraines, so when my neck gets painful, I put the peanut on top of a soft (not rock solid) yoga block to raise it to the right height, lay down on my back and the pressure on the back of my neck and skull is relieved. Great way to avoid a migraine. The package includes instructions for additional ways to use the peanut for pain relief. I've seen guys that have had back problems for years and thought their discs were deteriorated to nothing when they tried these. I hurt my back weightlifting and the first session with the "blueballs" felt like torture, but they loosened me up. Generally pulled muscles in the back hurt enough that they feel like it's a slipped disc or something worse. I've learned that I really need to stretch out more the older I get. These help to loosen me up if I've worked my back out and end up sore after.5
