Effective and comfortableI was having a difficult time deciding which type of Hernia support to get. After reading many reviews, I kept going back to this one.Then I was so unsure about the size. I submitted the question about size for 35/36 waist and hips. However, I wear 33 size pants.Underwear I always buy large. So, I was very, very tempted to order the large size. From the response to my question about the size, I went with the Medium. The fit is perfect.Another reason I liked this support is that my hernia is low on the right side. I wanted a support that looked like it would support that area, which it does. I use the pad, which some people said was too hard. It is very firm, but does not bother me. I don't even feel it.The straps are comfortable and soft. They don't have that hard elastic feel that the straps of an athletic supporter have. I like to wear the support over briefs or boxers which works well.So overall, I have found this hernia support to be very comfortable and does the job. 55 stars are not enough I give it myself 100 starsI love this product I'm so happy I was thinking I wouldn't be able to workout again until I get a surgery. But since I found this product I'm back to the Gym and lifting heavy weights I don't feel discomfort I don't really care I get surgery so soon but I will when I get the money.thanks for this product 5Was ok for it isOne of the better trusses, but not the best. Didn't like the foam insert. Very cheap- ended up using a modified sick to create a reasonable insert. At the end I bought a metal truss because over time the elastic stretches out. If you were to buy an elastic truss I may buy another one of these but overall if you were to go long-term I put the money out for a metal truss which ended up being more comfortable anyways. 3I had a inguinal Hernia operation that failed! I ...I had a inguinal Hernia operation that failed! I am using this brace instead of trying a second operation. I wear it all day. Take off at night. I went back to work after 2 days of wearing the brace! Go slow as you need to get used to where to put the pie shaped vell crow attachment and how tight to make the strapes. 5Good Hernia Support Belt For Elderly MaleAs an elderly male, this belt is very good in supporting my small double inguinal hernias. It is comfortable to wear during the day and I don't experience any discomfort while wearing the belt. It is washable and dries overnight. The pads provided were not the type pads I needed for support, and I replaced them with larger, more softer pads. I recommend this belt for elderly males who need a support for their hernia condition. 5Great support.Comfortable & really gives support. Great price. 5It Works WellThe other reviews are accurate - This product holds the intestine in and is very comfortable. Didn't need to use the hard plastic pads that come with it (not yet, anyway). It is necessary to be very gentle when hand washing the truss in order not to pull out stitching. With a 32" waist the medium works but was a little large. Small gives me a better fit - so I've bought several more of those. Very fair price for something "medical". Finally, the Alpha Brace company gives excellent service. 5painful sense of dread when your intestines are trying to ...Got these for my dad because he had a biggole inguinal hernia on the right, but hadn't turned 65 yet and didn't have Medicare, so he couldn't afford to get it repaired right away. Total game changer for him. Apparently it's a kind of constant, vague, painful sense of dread when your intestines are trying to fall down into your scrotum all day. Everyone's hernia problem is a little different. The written enclosure states that only a short trial is eligible for a refund or exchange. And even that requires paying for shipping.I found the leg straps fraying immediately where they enter the buckles, the hanging threads interfering with tightening them.The sizing of the large belt was not correct making it impossible to bring the Velcro spots together.This belt COULD BE helpful but needs to be made to higher standards. I was forced to add Velcro to the belt in order to use it at all. And paying to return it was a waste of time and money for me. I just tossed it as a total loss. 2
