Healthy choiceI have the powder version of these pills and finally wanted to opt for something easier to take with my meals. I use the powder for when I make my protein shakes, which I don't have time all the time so the pill version is great! I take 3 a day, morning, afternoon, and night. I notice when I don't take them I feel more sluggish. These have a grassy smell to them and taste but it's tolerable. The texture is a bit course but they go down smooth is you swallow them fast! Overall I know there getting the job done! 5Amazing Grass !I take both the powder and tablet form. I take the powder in the morning and tablet in afternoon after a meal, this amazing grass has done wonders. I can feel the difference. I really enjoy this organic natural supplement. Helps with digestion as well. The tablets are great if you don't like the taste of grass etc. 5 Stars , customer for life. The latest batch I received today is dark brown color that smells and tastes like hay. We're not farm animals so please do not make products like this. Price has gone up over the years while the quality has gone way down to animal feed level. 1GREAT PRODUCT!!!!I love these amazing grass superfood vitamins! They make me feel good, they help me to have regular bowel movements everyday, they help me not to be bloated. If there is anything I don't like is to feel bloated and feel my stomach is pooching out, with these that problem for me is gone. I take these everyday. I use to take the one you have to drink, not such a good taste, but these are easy and quick to take with no mess or an awful taste. This was a great idea to come out with these, whoever came out with taking this in vitamin form is a pure genius! AMAZING!!! 5Double edged swordWheat grass is a great supplement and I was happy about taking this until I noticed the additional 'hidden' ingredient on the label.This product contains 50 mcg of folic acid. The folks at Amazing Grass consistently claim that they don't add anything synthetic or non-naturally occurring to their supplement, so we're left with two possibilities 1) they have modified the naturally occurring folate to its more dangerous acidic form or 2) they are mistaken.There is growing realization of folic acid in the research literature as a double-edged sword, though the awareness does not seem to be mainstream as of yet. While the supplement prevents neural tube defects in pregnant women, it seems to promote certain types of cancer and depression (Bailey et al).The health food industry has tried to dismiss this as pseudoscience because, presumably, there is an added cost of fortifying supplements with folate instead of folic acid. To do this, they rely heavily on an older studies suggests the minimum dose for the acidic form to accumulate in the bloodstream as 266 mcg/day (Kelley). However, newer data suggests a far lower threshold dose, particularly in those with lower activity along the MTHFR pathway (Kim), which allows the acidic form to accumulate at higher levels (Kim & Bailey).The more research that comes out, the stronger the relationship. I've switched to Pines Wheat Grass as it has folate, not folic acid, which seems to be safer.
