Don't understand the negative ratingsThis stuff is great. I don't understand why some people have complained about the taste. The berry is delicious when mixed in some orange juice. I had horrible eating habits and with a milestone birthday finally decided to change my ways. Started out with fruit smoothies in the morning. Was adding powdered vitamins, mct oil, another protein type product and really didn't feel any effect. Searched amazon for products that would give me energy and be healthy for you. Found this gem and started adding it to my smoothies and the effect was felt within an hour or so. I used to drink straight barley grass years ago and this stuff gives me the same energy but tastes so much better and I like that it packs so much more than just barley grass. It perks me up but doesn't make me jittery like coffee does. My mood has improved, my mental clarity is better, I'm energized and the sugar cravings are going away. Also not a big veggie person so I love that I can get in my greens added to yummy smoothies which I add stevia too to help with my sugar cravings. Been using it for 2 weeks now and getting ready to order 2 larger jars as my wife is starting to drink it in orange juice so we are going through this can pretty quickly. Starting to love this new healthy habit. I definitely recommend this product. It's going to be in my cabinet for a long time. 5An excellent, affordable choice for powdered greens/fruit with pre- and probioticsI am very happy with this product and only notice a slight berry taste; I mix the small scoopful into eight ounces of plain water. I learned a long time ago that taste buds differ for people, so don't get discouraged by some reviews. This powder dissolves well and I love that it contains both prebiotics and probiotics, which is rare in all the choices for greens and fruit powders. Did you know probiotics can't do their job without prebiotics? This calms my digestive system and I don't feel bloated after certain foods anymore. It's a reasonable price, too. I don't see how you can go wrong buying this if you're looking to boost your intake of greens and energy level. The price is just right. 5My method works best I thinkHere's the deal. Forget about taste, this products & all similar products are powerhouses of dense nutrients...no sugar! No false or 'better taste' ingredients bc this isn't about your Jamba Juice banana smoothie. It's about nutrition in a power shot. My method works best I think. Fill a small container or glass 1/2 full with clean, alkaline water. Measure into the glass your powder, shake & refrigerate about 20 minutes. Then SHOOT THE DRINK! This is not a sweet sippin drink and never will be! The slight coolness neutralizes the taste and makes it easier to get down. Leave the fruits out and any other additions. Clean water and done! If necessary have cold drink or water to drink after. Please remember...this isn't about taste-it's about getting the powerful nutrients into your system. I enjoy this in a smoothie or in some vanilla yogurt, you can't even tell you're getting your greens in that way. Great for picky eaters in the family!Was just hoping for more convenience of only needing water, not having to make a smoothie or something, but when I discovered how good it is in yogurt, that solved my convenience problem... You can almost always grab a cup of yogurt, even when you're traveling, and have your greens powder portioned out for a quick serving of greens. Makes vanilla yogurt berry flavored with no hint of greens (other than the green color)!*** MEASURABLE GREEN CONTENT INFORMATION ***I found it hard to get a good idea of how many actual leafy greens you're getting per serving with this product (my reason for using this product is to supplement leafy greens specifically since I don't get a lot of those regularly) and I wanted a more visual representation like cups of fresh greens as opposed to grams of a food blend which is all they tell you on the packaging, so I contacted the company and got this information:I chose the Berry Flavor Green Superfood to ask about specifically, and here is the information I got: They use the FDA standards by which 1 cup of leafy greens = 1 serving of fruits & vegetables. Berry flavor is 2 full servings of fruits & vegetables per scoop. They told me that comes out to about 1.5 - 2 cups of raw product per 1 serving (1 scoop). Now this 1.5 - 2 cups of raw product per serving includes everything in the product, not just leafy greens, so if looking at only leafy greens, it would be less than 1.5 - 2 cups of leafy greens, however, the majority of the Berry product IS leafy greens (from the green food blend), so not ALL but the MAJORITY of that 1.5 - 2 cups of raw product will be leafy greens. Hope that's helpful for anyone else wondering how many leafy greens they're getting per serving/scoop. I would guesstimate bottomline about 1 - 1.5 cups of fresh leafy greens per scoop, once you've taken out of consideration the other ingredients. 4Such an easy way to get a couple servings of leafy greens inWe LOVE this product in my house, husband especially. This product has helped our transition and also super easy to keep up with.The other reviewers are right: it doesn't taste like fruit juice but here's a pro-tip that I PROMISE will make this go down as easy as apple juice: buy a bottle of PURE cranberry juice from the health isle. I mean PURE. NOT something with added water or other fruit juices. 100% pure, cranberry juice only. This stuff is so sour that a sip will make you pucker. That is my point here!Add your green scoop, add a splash of the super strong cranberry juice, and the rest water. The water will dilute the sourness in the cran. Give it a good shake and taste. The splash of the strong cranberry will overpower any mild bit of unpleasantness that some palettes might be sensitive to. If you don't care about taste and just want results, you'll love this stuff. I'm at the stage now where I can just drink it with plain warm water, even though I don't have to.If you've ever wanted to be Bear Grylls from Man vs. Wild, this stuff will be a great start. It tastes and smells like something right out of forest pond, but I love this stuff. Adding other ingredients into your drink, like orange juice, some ginger, carrot juice, mint, vanilla extract, or anything to your liking will make it taste more mainstream flavored. I say this with sincerity, because I'm old military and I like hardcore healthy stuff, whereas my wife is more Ritzy and pampered in her palate.Now listen: Each Winter I catch cold. Its just what I do. I work a lot so my body gets pushed quite hard. This little dandy of a product keeps the engines running. Sometimes I'll even toss in a serving when I juice my vegetables and fruits.One scoop, which is conveniently provided in the container, measures the right amount per serving. Its listed/advertised in the pictures above as having 42mg of chlorophyll, but to my surprise when I received the product, it isn't even listed under the supplement facts anymore. 1Great so farMy initial reason for buying this powder is because I know I am not getting enough vegetables in a day. I've struggled with constipation for a year and a half now and nothing has helped, and it turns out, this powder helps.Laxatives, probiotics, miralax, mineral oil, fiber pills, and more. Nothing help. Pretty sure there is a blockage. I cannot afford to see a doctor for this anymore. This veggie powder hasn't made the blockage completely disappear, but I can confirm it has moved! Over the counter probiotics made me extremely gassy and bloated, but the probiotics in this powder do not. Hopefully that's a good thing. My stomach is positive for h. pylori and I will update this review when I get to the doctor again and be tested again to see if this powder helped.What the powder is good in: anything with ice (not iced coffee). so, juice or tea.What the powder is bad in: coffee and anything warm. so, hot chocolate or hot tea. no. don't. you will ruin it. 5
