I'm very happy with this product for the priceI'm very happy with this product for the price. I have an old executive style desk chair that has all the support and cushioning compacted. I thought about getting a new chair but my chair feels like a comforting old friend and I just don't have the heart to get rid of her. For less than $10, this lumbar support has reinvigorated my old chair, and my back doesn't hurt anymore when I'm sitting on it for long periods of time.I'm not entirely sure how it will hold up, but it seems sturdy enough for now for the frame of a 160 lb person.One thing i should note is that the strap on the back isn't really made for a big desk chair (it's just not long/big enough) so I just wedged my support in between the lower and and back cushions, and it seems to stay put. 5wrong addressThis is truly a great seat helper. As I find myself doing 12-14 shows a year as an artist, I truly need support in my office as well as in shows. I thought about buying one of those artists chairs, but they don't support. My husband got one from me over two years ago, and uses it in his office at work. I told him I was going to get me one for our anniversary and I did. Some how it got lost or went to another address. I contacted the seller, he inmediately refunded my money. Later that week the item arrived, so I sent him a new note to charge my account again, and they came back and told me that because of the delay and trouble it was to receive it they were going to waive the entire cost and shipping.. You truly have to try these folks. Which all sellers in Amazon were like them. 5Works OK & very economicalI'm one of those with a lot of serious back problems,including fractures, but no surgeries thankfully. I'm going on a long driving trip and even considered replacing the seats in my pickup truck! Then I realized that even with top of the line seats there was no guarantee of back relief. I researched products on amazon till my eyes got blurry, then settled on this one. I like the construction because it allows for some air flow to keep you a little cooler. I find that it gives me really good lumbar support with just enough "give" to stay comfortable. It fits on my desk chair and both my car (Mazda) and Chevy pickup. And for the price, it's great. So far, so good. I guess I'll need to update after a few thousand miles to really give a good evaluation, though.One caveat: this stuff is really individualized & what works great for one person might not work for another.Now as far as seat cushions......the hunt continues. I'm still not satisfied with what I've found. 4Like it a lotThis is like a trampoline for your back. Not in the boucy way but it stretches like one and is so comfortable. It relieves my back when sitting in an office chair all day. Like some others have said it does slip down but thats a non issue for me. I mean its a stretchy band you need to adjust to your body so its fine its like that to me. Plus its really cheap but it works really well. 5Works well for Office ChairMy physical therapist originally suggested the whole "rolled up towel" thing for lumbar support. I felt like I was readjusting it a million times a day. A co-worker of mine had more of a "foam pad" style lumbar support...and after borrowing it while she was on vacation I didn't like how hard it was. I need support...I DON'T need to be thinking about the hard wedgie in my back all day.This is a nice gadget...because it has a little "bounce" in it. Some people might not like the bounce...but I find it allows me just enough support to keep my spine aligned...while allowing natural movement.Another plus...the price...which is reasonable enough that I might buy another for my car. And the fact that it's easy to adjust once on my chair...and the smooth material doesn't catch and wrinkle clothing like my co-worker's support did. (The breathable might be nice for people who run HOT...but I don't notice much difference.) I'd recommend giving this a try before buying a more expensive support. 5One of the best investments I ever madeI saw my cousin using something similar to this on his office chair, so I thought I would come search Amazon for something similar. I have been using a cheap office chair that I bought from Office Max or Office Depot about 7 years ago, and it lost it's padding a few years ago (haha?). Anyways, my chair no longer has any support for anything, it's just something to sit on now. However, all of that has changed!I bought this lumbar support about a week ago and it finally arrived today. I read through some of the reviews here and took the recommendation of many customers. I bought the $15 version of this, not the $5 one because a lot of people said that they bought it and were having issues and said the product is complete garbage. They did not lie. If you choose to buy this, PLEASE buy the one that is priced at around $15 (including shipping). Now I can't tell you not to buy the $5 version because I never used it before, but judging by most of these reviews, it's a waste of time and money if you do and you will probably end up hurting your back. What I don't understand is WHY sellers list the cheap $5 version here and trick people to buy it. Because judging by most of the reviews here, it is not the same product. So PLEASE, invest in the $15 version. I cannot stress this enough.This item has different straps that can fit on different chair types and sizes. At first, I thought I had to fit those two vertical back straps onto my huge office chair, but after careful observation, I realized that I can use the single horizontal strap to hold it. I have only tried this on one chair, but it seems that it can fit a variety of chairs/office chairs.There is one huge difference with the product that I got than from what I see in the picture on the product page. In the middle of support (where your back touches) there are these things that stick out and form a "bed" for your back. No they do not poke or hurt. My best guess is that they are made of some kind of plastic and added to provide more support and comfort. And yes, it works. It is also very lightweight and can easily be carried and used on other chairs or in your car.One important thing to note is that when you put this on a chair, DO NOT pull it all the way down the chair so that it touches your waist or tailbone. Honestly, I did this when I first put it on my chair and it was not helping. It actually felt kind of uncomfortable. So I readjusted it and moved it up a little higher so that it rests on my lower-to-mid back, which I assume is the correct area to place it. It feels A LOT better now. Also, if you look at pictures on the packaging, it shows that it is not all the way down. However, everyone is different so you might like to try different positions.The only thing I am concerned about are the straps and netting. Since I haven't had this for a long time I cannot say whether they will last or if they will break or rip. However, it seems durable for the time being. I assume that if you leave it on one chair and don't move it around too much, it will last quite long.Remember, if you buy this, please buy the $15 one. Don't spend significantly less or more. You know the saying "You get what you pay for"? I think that applies perfectly here. 4My review is for people that have pain or are seriously trying to prevent itOk I take time on my reviews, lately , to help the next person. Even with all the return guarantees I don't feel like adding extra $#!+ to do like returns cause money is not an issue if it will help my back I need it AND I'VE tried almost every different way. I study a lot at night and I sit at our dining table. I do school work for approximately 12 hrs at once every other day. I actually haven't slept yet because of the aderall(my Rx) but anyways ...lets startReason for purchase : I have scoliosis and a herniated cervical disc (where your neck meets the shoulder) and sitting hurts after 30 min. Here's a suggestion, instead of looking at all the prices, where it ships from or whatever you look at, escucha me now. Buy this, put a memory foam pillow or if they make seat cushions and put a hot blanket through the big loops or under your butt (sacrum area...pain usually originates inches from the sensitive part. I believe its referred to as "reference pain".Medications for my diagnosis: Various strong opiates like Morphine and Oxycodone (just to name a few out of 8) prescribed by a licensed Anesthesiologist at a spine institute that does all sorts of rhizotomy, injections of steroids for anti flammatory etc...Why is this product worth buying/reviewing:1. Decreased my pain about 50%2. You can sit longer (although you should get up at least once an hour to stretch out) WITHOUT pain....plus u gotta put effort and sit ya @$$ up too. This isnt a miracle thing.3. I currently have had 5 Rhizotomy on my back within one fall semester and I still had to do my hw...ya know, shoot I gotta find ways to lower the pain naturally and time efficient.4. See the 2 bands in the middle thats where the pad goesPros: Shipping was great as usual. The curvature, wait let me explain the design. Its velcroed with one band in the back (if you move forward its lowered to your low lumbar cause you cant tighten the band. So it sometimes lowers....just put a pillow which is fine but the curvature is between lumbar -thoracic on your bones. The band strap allows me to put a HEATING PAD through the opening which is very helpful thing I tried and worked...right where the vertical bands are. Buy one if u don't have a pad. Overall it helps ONLY if YOU DO your part and sit up!73. Setup: 35 seconds74. It's stylish enough to leave on my dining room chair. Doesn't look odd. Its a nice black and I've noticed my family always goes for my spot75. If u seriously got pain...stretch your hamstrings as often as you can. Stretching lower back. EDITED:2010 updateThis lumbar support actually turned out to be a lot better constructed than I thought it would have, given the pricepoint. It's framed by a rigid metal structure, and the mesh material is probably the same grade that you would see in a high-end office chair like the Herman Miller Aero.At first, the support almost seems to be too much, but as time has gone by, it's become more comfortable and really helps with keeping my back cool during these hot NJ summers. Highly recommended.EDIT: I ordered a second one of these in 2010 after my original purchase in 2007 got snagged on something and ripped. It was somewhat easily fixed, but the edges were wearing from daily use, so I bought another. You'd think a product listed with the same exact title, which I found by searching my purchase history, would be exactly the same. Nope. The new version is completely inferior to the original - thinner metal frame, lighter weight fabric, overall cheaper feel.If you look at the reviews in order of "newest first", you'll see a dramatic drop in ratings, likely due to the now horrible quality. It's unfortunate that the original reviews (for a different product) have convinced so many people to buy this piece of junk. I'm really disappointed that I can't get my hands on the original again - it was a great product at one time.EDIT 2 (2013): So, based on Bob Jones' suggestion, I went ahead and re-ordered this product from Amazon at the ~14 dollar price point. For some reason, this time it came and it was the original product that I ordered! Much thicker gauge wire framing, and high quality mesh. Keep in mind that the second one I ordered (and ultimately trashed in my review update) was also shipped/sold by Amazon, so it seems that ordering these are sometimes hit-or-miss. The good news is that the high quality versions still exist! Upped my rating back to 4-stars, since there's a bit of an issue with knowing exactly which product you'll receive. 4What a change!My back has been hurting because I sit all day at work. I have tried to use the other lumbar supports but those did not work. Either they were too fat or too uncomfortable. I would always slide out of my chair. This product, Angel Sales PosturePro Lumbar Support, is absolutely wonderful. I can already feel the difference after one day. When you sit back on this support it adjusts to your size and your posture. This support is flexible. This support is not stiff. I was able to sit upright all day. I did not slouch at all. My behind stayed in the chair with the support. I did not slide down not one bit. Excellent product. Thanks for making it. When I get out of the chair and return, it has shifted a little. But I just straighten it out and I am good to go. Not much of a big deal for me that it slides up and down. But that only happens when I get out of the chair that it moves. 5and see which one worked best. And I was very pleased with both of ...back against.My thought was that I would try them both, and see which one worked best.And I was very pleased with both of them - which both arrived together - and I have a place for each of them, and they both work fine.And so, when this one came (being the least expensive of the three) I fully expected it to be virtually worthless, because in retrospect, a screenwire mesh backrest, as it were, seemed a little far out.But, surprise, surprise! It turns out to be extremely comfortable, and feels the most natural of the three, and is entirely unnoticeable, and just feels perfectly comfortable, and works fine.Unless it breaks down somewhere along the line - which I don't foresee, inasmuch as it shouldn't receive any abuse - in fact, I don't even need to adjust it, once it's in place, with the thin little stretch band holding it in place.But a sore back is very serious business, because you feel it all the time, and this little jewel is a small price to pay for the sweet relief it gives. 5
