Flashback to the 90sI'm a 90s kid and I have been trying to find bazooka gum from childhood days. This is it! The gum itself actually has lasting flavor. And the packaging is awesome, unlike the other bazooka gum sold here this includes comics. Its 12 packs individual wrapped and the gum is neatly wrapped like I remember. It took me awhile but I finally found it!5Nostalgic but the comics aren't comics anymore.The gum certainly doesn't have the lasting power that the original Bazooka gum has but it does have the same flavor. It runs out of flavor super fast though. I always loved the comics inside and was happy to see they were still there. But they aren't. They are stupid little questions or facts and a code to to use at their website. I never tried a code so I have no idea what it unlocks. I miss Bazooka Joe!Aside from that, the gum is good and I have enjoyed it. I have passed it out to my adult sons and my sisters. Anyone who wanted some since I would sit and chew the whole tub myself if it was just sitting there. All in all, a decent buy but I wish the flavor lasted longer and the comics were like the originals.4Identical, but weaker, flavor than the original; good product but not perfectTaste is identical BUT weaker (from the very first chew, you notice it in seconds) than the original Bazooka gum sold by the piece for decades. The wrapper is certainly different, it has no comic either, but I don't care about either of these issues. Mine arrived very fresh, the gum was soft-- better in this regard than the original Bazooka, actually. The flavor didn't last very long at all. Pieces are slightly longer and narrower than the original one-cent Bazooka pieces.Package was short by 6 pieces-- I counted everything (twice) because one was loose in the outer mailing box (the seal on this clear container wasn't so sealed), and because other reviewers have complained of short counts with this item. I can confirm that I, too, was shorted.A solidly good copy; but not exactly the same. If you can live with it being not identical, but with the same exact flavor-- except not as strong-- then you'll like this product.3SF not the same as regular bazooka, breaks down and can t chew for longI purchased the sugar free bazooka gum and it wasn t quite the same as the original. The flavor is good for a sugar free bubble gum, though, so I did enjoy it. However, the gum breaks down really easily and becomes unchewable. Not something I ve ever really experienced before. Not worth buying this, you can t chew it for long. Such a bummer!1NOT BUBBLE GUM! Tiny pieces so you need more and you still can't blow bubbles.This taste like Bazooka gum but the pieces are so small that it takes 6 of them to equal 1 old style piece of Bazooka. Buy Bubble Yum.. great flavor and blows great bubbles.1Soft Bubble Gum made with sugar, and no artificial sweeteners,I am old enough to remember the old Bazooka Joe comics that came inside the original bazooka bubble gum. I also remember when you could save up the comics and redeem 360 of them for some virtually worthless trinket that only a young boy or girl without access to computers would find desirable. :-) The taste of this gum is does not match what I remember, but at least the makers have resisted the trend to start putting artificial sweeteners in their product, unlike the way Wrigleys has adulterated their Juicy Fruit chewing gum. With Bazooka, sugar and glucose syrup are the only sweeteners I found on the label. As for the different taste, I like the original flavor better, but this lasts just about as long, and the gum is softer, and easier to chew, and it blows enormous bubbles. Thanks for taking me back to a simpler time,4Normally the gum is awesome, which is why I keep buying itI believe this is my 4 times purchasing this gum. This time though, the wrappers stick to the gum, the gum is sticky to the touch before putting in your mouth, and the taste is was different. The last 3 times everything was perfect and the wrapper didn't stick. The gum tasted like the old Bazooka with lot's of flavor last time, but this time it has a way different taste and the flavor does not last long. Also, there was tape wrapped all around the tub. It did come on time though!2So disappointed they changed the comics in the gum wrappers.Growing up we loved Bazooka Joe because it was cheap, made great bubbles and, most importantly, had a fortune in every piece. In college, any time I was having a rough day or needed advice, Bazooka Joe was there and I'd peel one open and somehow the fortune was always relevant. The gum is very similar, not as hard and I have no qualms with the actual product whatsoever. If you don't care about the comics or the fortune, this is the gum for you.3A Shadow of its Former SelfThe gum itself is okay, but if I was just interested in the gum, I'd have gone with the tub of super bubble, which is softer, yummier, and you get a tub with 100+ more pieces for your money. No, I got this because I figured my kids would dig the comics for which Bazooka is so famous. Attached is a photo of one of the "comics." You be the judge.2Sadly, this is my last Bazooka SF purchase....This is the 20th time I purchased this in almost 3 years now. I did note that they changed the outer packaging and sadly I found out they changed the recipe of the gum. It now has a very strange flavor and it s not very good anymore, sadly enough it s not even as crunchy on the outside. It had such a great flavor and the flavor lasted for at least five minutes. This new recipe doesn t even last one minute and it seems stale. I m very saddened and disappointed about this Bazooka. I realize that this is where we part ways. Thank you for those three years and I really enjoyed you Bazooka. Don t know why you changed what was perfect.1
