Great qualityI love this bed pad. The size is perfect for going across a King size bed and it does not bunch up after I sleep on it. It didn't come with washing instructions, so I will wash in cold and dry for only a few minutes in dryer, then air dry. It has no "crinkle sounds" when I move in the bed, which I love. I have only used for a little while, but seems really well made and that it will last a long time. I can only hope!! It was not very expensive...the medical supply stores want to charge more for a lot smaller pad (and not as nice). I have used other pads and this is by far the best I have found as far as quality, size, and price. Also, it is very absorbent. I am very happy with this purchase and will be buying another. 5Highly Variable Quality, Even From The Same Lot. Stitching Just Falls Out.I purchased two of these for my cat, for the obvious reason. I selected this company because they had an 80 inch option and, as any of you with fur babies are already aware, cats and dogs don't avoid the edge of the bed just because the wee barrier you bought is only 72 or 76 inches long and Mommy couldn't rig it to cover the edges. So I chose this and, for the record, I regret it.The first of the two was significantly thicker than the second. Standing there examining it, the difference was over an inch and a half when folded up identically in the package, and I used an actual hard tape measure to be sure. When holding them flat, side by side, the thicker one was nice and thick and very well sewn. The thinner one looked fine on a cursory glance but was slightly shorter (hardly the end of the world.)It was at this point, however, that I made the terrible mistake of washing them. The washer, for the record, has no agitator. It is a standard empty tub that has a delicate cycle (which is what I used) and only runs for 30 minutes in total including the rinse cycle. The thicker one was, somehow, fine, coming through the wash like you would expect, not ripped up or splitting or anything you fear when you first wash a pad like this. The second one, not so fortunately, was pulled out, specifically, the stitching. Having pulled away from the pad (apparently because it was defective and the stitches never caught on the thread backing so they basically just fell out with slight movement in the delicate wash), the threads were all bundled up. The pad itself, not including the quilting stitching appeared fine, not shredded or ripped or anything, but some of the edge stitching also came out.I wrote to the company and they said they can only help me if I have a picture to show them and, of course, I don't have a new camera. I suppose everyone has a digital camera nowadays and it is on me for being the odd man out, however, the point here is that, because thus far I've not been able to find someone to take a picture for me, I've been told they can't help me with the problem. You have to have a picture in order to do an exchange or return and, if you have one, they will forward your issue to some upper level. If you don't have a picture to prove yourself, you are screwed. I am looking into stitching it back up myself, as I do have an old Singer Sewing Machine and can at least make that work for me when necessary so, hopefully, it won't be a total loss.That having been said, be advised, the quality on these pads is highly variable, even from the same lot, and the customer service seems to exist only to make the customer feel they've not been believed and there is no recourse available. I will be looking for another 80 inch pad and attempting to fix this one to see if it can be salvaged and hopefully won't have to deal with BH again. 1Perfect for a Pet OwnerOut of desperation, trying every alternative we could think of we finally found these to use in areas of our house that pets track things into or older dogs have had a tendency to have accidents in when we turn away or sleep. We've tried a lot of things, but this...this is so far, by far, our best answer and it's a good one. I wait for it to go on sale, get more and now I have an arsenal. Two in the large-capacity washer and maybe a small one make a decent wash. I've washed on warm for quite some time now and they are still in shape.For us, for dog accidents (and that evil cats can do), they have proven to be an ultimately superior solution to all the tarps, furniture covers (since claws can make unsuspecting holes) and the more expensive handsome waterproofing covers we've tried. We still use covers underneath any pads for reinforcement on the furniture they gravitate toward (such as sofas-ugh!) and for appearance, but placed on the needed areas of the carpets and rugs eliminate the need for constant Spotbot usage and they eliminate a lot of angst.Instead of updating this I just rewrote it (now January 2018 - same pads); it was more long-winded and convoluted than even this! I love, love, love these pads; for our older dog especially.P.S. We have a household of 4+ dogs (and dog guests are frequent) and we have 4 cats. Though these are tromped over by many, they are usually just sullied be a choice few. These have survived a great deal for a long time.Update, June 2018: Still awesome! Haven't lost one yet. Nothing is coming apart. I think if may say to wash in cold, but I often wash in warm. The just work so well! 5Bought to to protect couch from pets(We bought this to protect our new couch from our elderly cats potential accidents and to prevent fur from sticking to the fabric of the couch.)The pad is thick and its the perfect size for an average couch (I measured first) If your main objective is just to cover your couch cushions that you sit from fur and other accidents this is ideal. This is a bit cheaper and definitely better quality than other pet couch covers I have seen that are not waterproof.With it being tucked in along the rear and along the sides of the cushion along the arms it took two weeks for us humans to dislodge the pad to where I have to straighten it. The cats don't dig or try to move around the pad. I do feel it would be fine for a smaller dog or low weight dog that does not dig up bedding. We have not had had the pad tested so far but I feel pretty comfortable that this will do the job especially since I have another twin quilt folded on top it. I was hoping the blue side would be the side you could face up since my couch is blue but that is the waterproof side. I was not planning to use both the quilt and the waterproof pad. I may dye the cotton part blue to better match the couch. I have used similar products like this before for elderly cats I've had that had in the past and found them to be useful (on the bed) but they were too small for this purpose. 5AMAZING!!!! Don't be fooled by negative reviews!I have a bed wetting 3 year old. We would have to get up in the middle of the night to tears, change his clothes, take off the old bed sheets, put the new ones back on, and put the soiled one in the washing machine so the whole place didn't smell in the morning. Combine all of that with a lack of sleep for a while and you need a solution fast!Well, this is it. Hands down. Just put this down, put the little guy to sleep, and if he has an accident then you just change the clothes and put this in the wash. It has made my life immeasurably better in a short amount of time. It has been wet 5 times so far and put through the wash each time with no signs of wear and definitely still NO LEAKS!!!! AMAZING and PERFECT!!! I would recommend to ANYONE WITH A SIMILAR ISSUE! 5No "plastic sound"; protects wellHad the smaller sizes, but if you have a restless sleeper, they move and therefore may not protect in the places you need.This size is perfect for our active sleepers placed under the fitted sheet.We have placed it across a twin mattress and tucked it in or the whole length of the bed because one of ours scoots down under the covers to the foot of the bed. We have also used it across the mattress, untucked, of a queen and king and it works well with very little bunching or movement.Some we have used, make a plastic sound when moving and because of the "plastic" makes the spot even colder. This doesn't not have a plastic sound.These pads definitely helps with cleanup. Protects mattress well. Use care instructions - no fabric softener. 5These are the best reusable waterproofThese are the best reusable waterproof, pad to ever use on sick patients. Are, anyone that's bedridden. It keeps from getting anything on the sheets. Keeps them dryer, and don't have to change bed clothes as much. They are the best. Can go through hundreds of washes, and don't hurt them at all. Everyone should try them if they have a need for them. You will sure get your money's worth. The material they are made with, you can't beat it. I was apprehensive because it's pricey. Not only has it remained in pristine condition, despite DAILY washing, it doesn't pill and is still white, without odor. I have used this pad heavily for 6 years now. My child outgrew the bedwetting, but little did I know I would be needing this pad for my next child who would require daily enemas. The enema solution spills out sometimes, and it's a significant amount (350mL). This pad has NEVER leaked through. I cut the pad in half and finished the raw edge with my serger so that I could get more bang for my buck. It's still a good size and now I have two. This pad was worth every penny I spent and more. 5
