Works well enoughThis is the second wrist band I've tried to keep wrist pain under control while doing planks, push ups, etc. The first one had an elastic loop for the thumb that was more trouble than it was worth. I like how this wrap has a thumb loop made out of the neoprene, and it provides a bit of padding for that area too. The neoprene on the wrap itself makes it comfortable to wear. It is easy to wash and dries flat really quickly. I'd purchase it again if this one ever needs replacing. 5Where has this been all my life???I have a genetic disorder that causes my joints to hyper-extend and dislocate easily. My wrists have hurt since I was 6 years old. Over the years, I have tried braces- but they are hot and irritating. I have tried Ace bandages, and while they work, they are bulky, and limiting. At first when I opened this package, I couldn't believe that I had paid money for this thing. It's just a wide strap with soft velcro on one side with a hole at one end. Then? I put it on. OMG! What a difference this made. I had my teen son, who has the same issue, come try it on and he felt the same way. We decided it's good for lightweight, protective, "I-haven't-been-stupid-and-screwed-up-my-wrists" daily use. We will both use our heavier braces for those moments. This thing is awesome. 5Not impressedI had high hopes for this wrist wrap/support. I have carpal tunnel and it's pretty much the only option that isn't black or gray, which is why I bought it! Unfortunately, it's just not that comfortable in my experience. The light pink also gets dirty easily, so keep that in mind! I wanted a support that I could wear daily at work without a splint (so that I can still write, type, etc) but I find myself getting annoyed with the fit of this one. 3Completely UselessPros: Decent material, comes in pinkCons: Literally does nothingI purchased this due to developing carpel tunnel and needing something to support my wrist and thumb so I can work. Unfortunately, this product did absolutely nothing to help. Because of the way it attaches, it puts strain on my thumb making the pain worse. It also provides no support at all to my wrist, nor any compression, completely defeating the purpose of using it in the first place. The only good points it has are the material it's made of is decent and it's available in pink. I really can't imagine how this thing would be useful in any situation. Thanks! 5Just what I was hoping for.I'm pleasantly surprised how this helps me. I drive a lot and just tend to use my hands more than any other part of my body sometimes, so my right hand gets strained once in awhile. For whatever reason the fact that this brace compresses my wrist and hand for a period of time really makes the pain go away. Even after I take the brace off. I don't know the science behind why it works, but it does for me, so yay!It even fits around my fore arm so when I had banged up my arm I was able to wrap it with this, so its versatile too. 5Comparison of Bracoo and Thermoskin Wrist Wraps UPDATEUpdate: After fewer than 10 days wearing the Bracoo wrist wrap, the wrap stretched enough that it kept slipping down and no longer held my wrist stable. Although I like the look, the fabric and the ease of putting it on and off, it won't do the job and I will have to buy a "real" ugly, black, big wrist wrap that holds the wrist tightly and won't slip down.I bought two wrist wraps for comparison, the Bracoo for $6.99 and the Thermoskin for $16.98. I have a pinched nerve running from an inch below the inside of my wrist to the tip of my thumb. It fires off an electric shock if I twist my left wrist to the left so I wanted a wrist wrap that would stabilize my wrist.Both wraps offer very light wrist support. Both are comfortable to wear and they give me enough wrist support to do Pilates and most activities. My wrist moves up and down about half-way and side to side about half-way too. That level of support works for me but may not be sufficient for other injuries. Both wraps need to be rewrapped numerous times during the day to keep the wrist stable but it's quickly done.The Bracoo has no thumb support and the thumb can easily move around through a larger thumb hole. The Thermoskin has just a little thumb support with a smaller thumb hole but you can still move your thumb all around towards your fingers with just a little effort. (I also have a Thermoskin thumb brace which works very well to keep your thumb immobile.)The Bracoo is made for a smaller hand and wrist and it lays flat against the back of my hand. I have a 6 wrist and a 7-3/4 hand in its widest part. The Thermoskin often gaps on the back of my hand and I must carefully rewrap it to get rid of the gap which is noticeable to others, particularly because the inside fabric is bright orange. Functionally, the gap doesn t seem to make any difference.The Bracoo is very stretchy and, after 8 or 9 days, it slipped down more. The Velcro tab sticks to the fabric of the wrap so there is no Velcro patch sewn onto the wrap itself. In contrast, the Thermoskin tab sticks to a large patch of Velcro sewn onto the wrap fabric. Because the stitching goes through the wrap, the wrap is far less stretchy. The Thermoskin is a thicker material so it slips less but is not perfect.I like that both wraps come in colors that are less noticeable. I got the Bracoo in light gray and the Thermoskin in beige. I prefer the beige color but I initially liked the Bracoo better because it was more comfortable, particularly at night. I cannot wear the Bracoo now because it doesn't support my wrist at all unless I tighten it so much that it hurts the pinched radial nerve on the side of my wrist. 1Bought this product for my mom who injured both wrists ...Bought this product for my mom who injured both wrists at different times lifting heavy pots and pans.She likes the fact that if you need to wash your hands, you don't necessarily need to remove this. She also likes the fact that this wrist guard is adjustable, and when adjusted properly it prevents her wrist from moving a lot. This allowsher wrist to remain stable while she goes about doing her chores including watching her 3 month grand baby. 5Great wrist supportThis product is really nice! I got the pink one and its cute.I have had very bad wrist pain for a while to where I couldnt bend it for a few days. This made it more manageable.I have very small wrists and hands and this fits fine. I think others may not be putting it on correctly because as long as you pull it tight it looks like it would fit anyone.I havent had a problem with the velcro, either, it has been staying on for hours just fine.It can cut off circulation but you can adjust accordingly.What I like most about this is that you can still type and write with this one on! 5PERFECT COMFORTABLE RELIEF!!!!just received my BRACOO wristwrap today! i chose pink...i have severe joint pain in the lower joint of my thumb...i was looking for a suitable wristwrap and i chose the BRACOO at first glance for comfort...fashion...and moderate support... i bought two... i wear a Flector pain patch on my lower thumb area and i needed a wristwrap that would hold these in place that would provide comfort as well as support... it's not the heavy duty medical brace... it's very lightweight and it serves its purpose for me...i plan to buy another set.... VERY PLEASED! 5
