I live in a very remote area, the nearest store is 30 minutes away. I'm a veteran fan of Sleepytime from Celestial Seasonings, my daughter who is now 23 is as well. Great for the kids when sick or as part of a bedtime ritual. A great treat for restful sleep for everyone! 5Glad I found this!Glad I found this! I've looked in several grocery stores and couldn't find the "extra" version of Sleepy time. Extra has valerin in it, and that's the ingredient that I need. Doesn't knock me out but just helps me relax more than original Sleepy time.*caution! Make sure this is ok to take if you're on any meds. There can be a reaction with some meds. I asked my Dr. and pharmacist because I'm on antianxiety and antidepressants. 5Does what melatonin could never do!I have the hardest time sleeping and melatonin has never worked (even at high doses). One bag of this bad boy puts me to sleep within 20ish minutes. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am that I found this!!! 5SLEEPY TIME IS FOR REAL from a doubting ThomasA friend recommended and I bought it on a dare and it DOES WORK.You sometimes hear funny stories of people who take delight in a product and sometimes you have to give people a weird look, and this is one product that I mocked when a friend talked about how this tea helped them sleep. I heard stories about warm milk (disgusting), taking a warm bath, but never heard of a tea that actually helps you sleep, UNTIL I actually tried it.So I bought it for my wife and I and while it's not like the taste preference of my choice like a roasted Yerba Mate, this tea was neutral in taste, not as strong as a Earl Gray, but not as fruity or light as some other tea, this was something in-between.You won't be citing how the flavor was memorable or punchy, but it does have an actual calming element ingredient: Valerian which in pill form smells like a plumber's crack, but is well known by herbalists as a calming supplement.If you take the Valerian pill - you won't stand the smell, but in this tea you wouldn't even notice it since it's like chamomile tea and is just neutral. It's a great tea with some milk and honey, but it doesn't stand out as anything special except help you be calm. It DOES help you sleep. I wouldn't recommend drinking this at work or your boss will catch you sleeping, but right before bedtime with a good book you'll be thanking me. 4I love Sleepytime TeaI love Sleepytime Tea, but then my co-worker told me about "Extra." At first, I thought she was kidding. Then she brought me some to try. I loved it and ordered some on Amazon. The valerian root does the trick. It gives me a dose of warm sleepiness that makes me want to doze off. It works within 15-20 minutes for me. If I stay up 45+ minutes though, the sleepy feeling starts to go away and it's back to feeling like "I wish I could get sleepy and fall asleep." So, timing is everything. The flavor is mild and great. I know I'll be ordering more! 5This tea really worksMy husband bought this tea because we both have sleep issues. It works really well. Within minutes of finishing it, I can feel my whole body drifting and ready for sleep. We both sleep through the entire night and have deep, restful sleep. A side benefit for me is no nightmares when I drink this tea. I normally have very vivid, intense dreams and often nightmares. This tea seems to calm my thoughts and keep my dreams peaceful. And very smooth and enticing flavor, smells amazing and has great health benefits. 5Helps me sleep by calming my mind. Two thumbs up!Been having insomnia and this really helps me sleep. I drink it an hour before bed and I am able to fall asleep easier. The Valerian root supposedly helps calm the mind. My problem falling asleep is a racing mind thinking about work and things to do. I highly recommend it. 5Test taker's teaPurchased for a college freshman taking her first-ever finals, Tension Tamer Herbal Tea by Celestial Seasonings has long been one of my favorite 'go-to' products for inducing a sense of calm and well-being. Having camomile, peppermint, lemongrass, tilia flowers, licorice, ginger, B6 and B12 vitamins made sense to me, but eleuthro - an Asian herb and catnip - were surprises when I read the ingredients.NOTE: The benefits of Eleuthro (also known as Siberian Ginseng) . root are many, but this sums it up: "Eleuthero is classified as an adaptogenic herb, a truly sophisticated and powerful group of plants.
