What a ripoff...This stuff is nasty. I agree with other statements that this may not be certified Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee. Don't waste your money on this coffee!!1Very ImpressedI was very impressed. When I decided to order some Jamaica Blue coffee, I read all the reviews and product information. I had fallen in love with the stuff on a trip to Jamaica 43 years ago. Well, I decided on The Coffee Roasters of Jamaica because of the product info. It s not a blend, that might throw some people but it made sense to me. Love it!! I will be ordering more !!5Brings back memories of my honeymoon in Jamaica.Honeymooned in Jamaica, the resort we stayed at served only Jamaica Blue Mountain. Hadn't had it before, but once we got home we quickly realized the stuff must be laced with heroin or cocaine or something cause we needed more. Every time I open this bag to scoop some beans I spend a moment just smelling them. It makes me feel like a druggy, but it is what it is. Makes an excellent cup of coffee. Due to the price we only buy bags for special occasions, but in our case that just makes it even better when we do get to spend a week or so going through one. This stuff tastes just how I remember it tasting in Jamaica. Having that moment of nostalgia for breakfast is worth the high price to us.5Stale. Criminally Stale.I am writing this review quite upset. This coffee was roasted at least a year before I bought it. Some fraudulent coffee makers will tell you that coffee will last for years after roasting, but they are all liars. Coffee goes stale very fast after roasting, even in whole-bean form. To sell years-old stale coffee at this price is, in my opinion, criminal. My AG office disagrees with me, so these people will continue ripping people off as long as Amazon will let them.All I can do is post this and hope people will heed my warning.So why did I give it two stars? Because I drank about half of it, and I could tell what it once was - good coffee roasted well. It must have been an incredible brew back in 2016. Too bad this company ruined a good thing.2Jamacian CoffeeI took a trip to Jamaica in 1983 and had my first cup of Blue Mountain coffee. I was hooked! Finding Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee in the states was difficult to say the least. With each trip I brought home a couple pounds from Jamaica. Thanks to the internet and Amazon I have finally found the Blue Mountain coffee I have been searching for. This brand is the real deal! And every penny is worth the cost!5Good taste, but doesn't taste like Jamaican Blue MountainI have had 9-10 different brands of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee during my life. Each had a familiar, underlying flavor that I have come to associate with Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.While this coffee is very good, it does not have the familiar Jamaican Blue Mountain taste that I have come to expect. In my opinion, this is not a good example of Jamaican Blue Mountain. The underlying smooth flavor is just not there.The beans smell great but do not appear oily.I give 3 stars because it is very tasty, but entirely not worth the price. I will be seeking Jamaican Blue Mountain elsewhere.3Doesn't taste goodI am a coffee afficionado, love Jamaican, Hawaiian, Boquette. I've enjoyed a dozen pounds or more of Jamaican Blue. This one was the absolute worst of the bunch. I wasn't even sure it was authentic Jamaican beans, based on the taste. Way too acidic. Maybe they over-roasted it, or left it on the dock too long. Didn't even finish grinding the $70 pound of beans, it just went to waste. I don't recommend it. Not worth that kind of investment, for something that tastes worse than a blend, which is preferred to this.1Either we got a bad batch or this is a hoaxIf I could leave 0 stars I would. Tastes like bad coffee... like coffee that's been ground then left in open air to become stale.1Terrible Coffee BeanThis is nothing like the Blue Mountain coffee I had in Jamaica 3 weeks ago. Hardly has any smell to it when ground. I don't know if it's really old or the beans come from a really low elevation on the mountain but I wouldn't want it if it was for free. Don't waste your money.1
