Improved my B-12 deficiencyExcellent product! I am a vegan and had blood work done which showed a slight vitamin B-12 deficiency. I have been taking 2-3 tablets daily for approximately 6 weeks. My recent blood work showed a significant improvement in my B-12. 5Taste isn't bad, more energy than caffeine providesTaste isn't bad, more energy than caffeine provides. A friend gave me a bottle, loved it so much, I bought more. One for at work and one at home. I don't use it every day, but as needed a few times a week. No complaints!Still using and just reordered. I like that there are no jitters with this. 5The best B-12This is an excellent product, both in its obvious and not-so-obvious attributes. First, the form of B12 in Deva's formula is methylcobalamin, which is the only form that is readily absorbed by us in oral form. Second, the formula also contains Folic Acid and B6, which act synergetically with B12 to optimize utilization. Third, this is one of the few purveyors of B12 that guarantee they do not use genetically modified sources. And finally, the sublingual tablets help to insure maximum absorption by the system. And the price is right. This is the best source of B12 I have found. 5Excellent sublingual B-12 choiceThis is a high dose B-12 sublingual with B-6 and folic acid. The small tablets taste good and dissolve easily. Actually, maybe a little too easily as I worry that a lot of the B-12 ends up in my stomach where it won't absorb as well. Still, I think this is an excellent choice and my favorite out of at least a half dozen brands that I've tried. 5Got energy?Vitamin B12 is sometimes called "the energy vitamin". B12 supplements are a must for everyone on a plant based diet, people with Celiac or Chrohn's Disease, persons who have had part of the stomach or small intestine removed, someone with Pernicious Anemia, heavy drinkers and smokers, pregnant and breast-feeding women, persons with bacterial growth in the intestine or parasites, people on certain medications that inhibit B12, as well as anyone over the age of 50.B12 supplements for vegetarians/vegans are hard to find, but the source of Deva Vegan B12 is not beef that is commonly used, but rather derived from soil bacteria that is naturally occurring. Swallowing 500 mcg of Vitamin B12 can result in absorption of as little as 1.8 mcg. However, sublingual type tablets are a more absorbable type, whereby the B12 is taken under the tongue to dissolve and goes directly to the bloodstream bypassing the GI system and is 100% utilized. B12 is a water soluble vitamin, so it is not possible to get too much, excess will be flushed out of the body.Methylcobalamin (Methyl B-12) is better absorbed and retained than other forms of B12 (e.g., cyanocobalamin). Methyl B-12 protects nerve tissue and brain cells, promotes better sleep and reduces toxic homocysteine to the essential amino acid methionine.One does not need to take this sublingual tab daily. Thank you. 5To max value, I use a pill splitter and ...To max value, I use a pill splitter and take 1/2 tablet every day or two, which will last you a year (usually cereals and non dairy milks are fortified so you probably need less supplement if you consume those). Your body is really inefficient at absorbing b12 which is why there is such a high dose here compared to what you need (look into it yourself though!).Warning: this one is vegan but many brands are lactose based so beware if you are vegan (unfortunately vegan ones are harder to find and more expensive) 4GreatLovely lemon flavor, dissolvable.
