Pretty good, a couple minor flaws still.These are my favorite carpal tunnel splints, and I've tried many including custom splints. I do wish the thumb hole was a little bit longer. If you want to wear them during the day it can rub uncomfortably on the base of the thumb (see photo). I also had to customize the metal bar inside the splint. I've also found sometimes the bar slips down too far, which impeads proper function and is not comfortable. My solution for this was to add a piece of Velcro sticker on the bar and stick it to the inside of the bar space. 4supportive and comfortableI have very bad tendonitis, and after the heavy snow fall we had a few weeks ago, I was left with my right arm (my dominant arm) in serious pain and agony (from snow clearing walkways and trampoline). the roads were cleared with plows but the car was still stuck in the driveway unable to get out and stores were all closed for employee safety, but some mail services were up and running, thank goodness for amazon prime. my husband ordered me this wrist brace with one click of a button on my amazon app, and it was here in just 2 days. the wrist brace felt so amazing on my arm, and didnt limit my mobility as much a others have in the past. my only complaint is that the straps were so gosh darn long we had no choice but to cut them. Of course that's also kind of genius too, since not everyone has the same wrist size and shape, being able to cut your own band size insures that it will fit you properly, so my complaint is void. this brace saved me a lot of pain and after having it on all day for two days and only giving myself a break at bed time, it was feeling better and almot back to itself by day 3. this brace is great sturdy quality and exactly what I needed. also cost less than what I had paid for lesser quality ones in the past, so that was a great added bonus. the cushioning on the inside also felt great, much like my arm was resting on a pillow. highly recommended to anyone looking for that good supportive and comfortable wrist brace. 5They WorkI work as a web programmer and my hands started hurting. I bought a thumb brace at the convenience store, but it didn't work for me. My friend, an artist with carpel tunnel, recommend these. He said he's tried many braces and these were the best. When I got one, I left it on overnight and it worked like magic! Nothing else had helped my hand, but this did the trick.I don't wear it much during the day because it works so well at night, though I wear it any time I have pain. The fact that it's contoured to fit your hand makes it so you can use a keyboard while its on.A good choice for anyone who has pain associated with the wrist because it keeps the wrist straight. 5I have recommended to many patients to get wrist splints for night ...I have recommended to many patients to get wrist splints for night time for carpal tunnel, but when I developed carpal tunnel I was not entirely sure which to try. These looked like they would give good support so I gave them a try. They did not work for my carpal tunnel - it puts too much pressure over the median nerve and actually made my symptoms worse. The key is to keep the wrist in a neutral position at night without putting pressure on the nerve, and these do not do that at all. I ended up returning it since it was not helping. It may work for other purposes but definitely would not recommend for carpal tunnel. 2Great!! ProductI like the how comfortable this product is i have tried several different ones. After my visit to the orthopedic where they tried to sell me one at triple the cost!! I bought this used and it looks brand new!! I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, and tendonitis and all other braces hurt my tendinitis so bad i could not where them. Because the straps went around the side of my waist. 5FALLING APARTI purchased this brace 3 weeks ago. Within 1 week, the seam of the upper support bar started unraveling. I am super easy on this brace. I'm not a sportsman, a wrestler or lumberjack so it should hold up to daily keyboard typing. I'd hoped it wouldn't get any worse but every day, it pulls apart further. You can see the clear plastic support bar in there.Pros:- cheaper than at the dr's office- it has held my wrist in placeCons:- falling apart- it hurts my wrist so much so, that I have to put a fleece sock over my wrist bone to reduce the pressure on the knobby wrist bone and pain from the stiff sides of the brace. It's comfortable and not too bulky. If you're REALLY tender, the metal might be more hindrance than help, but other than that I find this item works great for me. I wear it while riding in case of another crash. It does not become a liability during the ride. As with ALL things Velcro, eventually the Velcro wears out, but I certainly think you'll get your 12 bucks out of this first. 5It works well and does the job at a good price. This brace keeps me from tweaking and over extending my wrist from side to side when I work. ; )Note: Buy it 1 size larger,-set it snug but not too tight on your wrist and cut the access strap off just past the hook Velcro on the brace.-Now tighten as needed and your good to go with no dangling straps. I read that some people didn't like the long straps in the comment section and dumb stuff like that.Order one size larger so you can use a wrist wrap in the beginning under the brace for extra support then remove the wrap and just use the brace as you feel better. Continue to cut off the excess strap as you go along and if you don't want the metal bar to come out of it's holder add and inch of double stick tape or super glue on the end of the bar and reinsert it to stop that from happening ever again so... to me it's worth every penny. 5Could be stifferA long time ago I broke my wrist. After the cast came off, I remember having to take a prescription to the pharmacy and get something similar to this.Flash forward ten years and my wrist is killing me. Couldn't bend it backwards, lift things or turn door knobs. I needed time to heal this wrist but couldn't find my splint.I ordered this one off Amazon cause it looked similar to my old one. Sadly, I liked my old one better. My old one was rigid, more stiff. I don't like how this new one lets my wrist bend back still. My old one wouldn't even allow my wrist to bend. It kept it locked in there. This one will do until I can get a script for a better one. 3
