My Favorite Decaf I often feel like having a cup of coffee in the evenings, but do not want the extra caffeine, after having already had one or two cups of regular coffee during the day. The same holds true on occasional weekend mornings when I don't want to be jolted awake. And, Donut House Decaf is the best-tasting decaf I have found so far for that purpose.It's very flavorful, even more flavorful than their regular variety, which I actually find a bit weak. (I prefer Donut Shop for my regular roast.) Yet, it retains the smooth character. No burnt taste. No bitterness. Just good coffee flavor in the tradition of what I call "East Coast" coffee. ("West Coast" coffee being the burnt-tasting, over-roasted, and too-strongly brewed coffees of Starbucks, Peets, and numerous small "gourmet" coffee shops. East Coast being Dunkin Donuts and a million corner sandwich shops.)If you want a smooth, flavorful cup, without the caffeine, you should give this one a try. 4Didn't Blow Up.......Much Best batch of these K-Cups I've received recently. Had about 6 or so explode in my Keurig machine. Prior orders did not fare as well as this batch. Have tried all types of "Fixes" but they all failed. Wrote to Keurig Customer service on the Keurig Website and never received a response. Somewhere I read that Green Mountain packs 20% more coffee in the Decaf K-Cups and that's why they come apart during brewing. Love the coffee hate the problem. Other decaf K-Cups fare well in the same brewer. 3Favorite so far I just re-ordered this decaf coffee. We have tried several decaf varieties looking for that perfect cup. The Donut House is our reigning favorite. We had been drinking Donut SHOP decaf and just tried Green Mountain Breakfast Blend decaf. While both of these coffees are pleasant, neither compares to the Donut House in aroma or flavor. This coffee is full bodied in taste and very smooth. We brew it on the 8oz setting and think that is perfect, although we make the next size larger for my mother who likes her's a bit weaker. We'll probably keep looking for the perfect decaf; this one is excellent. 4Tastes pretty bad I bought this brand only because I was in a hurry, and I was hoping for the best. I did not like it. It's very weak and just tastes kind of weird, like coffee that's been sitting in the pot cooking for 6 hours. But of course different people have different tastes, so maybe you'll like it. 1Not bad, would buy again I occasionally like to have two cups of coffee in the morning, but I've found that as I've gotten a little bit older (eek! 30!) I get migraines and headaches more often so I'm trying to cut back on my caffeine intake. So I went looking for just plain decaf k-cups. I came across these and despite the bad reviews, I gave them a shot. They're not bad. A lot of the reviewers said that when they used these k-cups, their coffee machines overflowed or they had grounds in their coffee. I never had any experiences like that.Now, the only thing I will say ... I think there's a slight, strange odor to these when they first start to brew. That's why I deducted the one star. It could just be my sense of smell is off (I don't think it's our Keurig, as we just descaled it recently and none of the other brands we've used give off a praticularly strange odor). My family switches it up between the Dunkin Donuts original blend and the Keurig brand Donut Shop Medium Roast blend (whichever is in stock at the local Wal-Mart) ... maybe it's just my own sense of smell and the switches between the different types, but it smelled funky to me at first. No weird taste or anything, though.All in all - good, light flavor and would definitely buy again. 4A few *dud* K cups... Wonderful de-cafe and I have no issues with the coffee per se, but my last order had a few dud k cups that made a small mess in my Keurig. I wasn't sure what was happening until I held an un-used k cups from this batch up against bright light and could see some coffee was in the lower part of the cup which means the coffee was on the wrong side of the filter and would be pushed into the Keurig during brewing. Other than that no problems. 4DOESNT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! DO NOT BUY!!! I m not sure what is wrong with this coffee! But EVERYTIME I try to make a cup of coffee I receive the message on the photo! Maybe it s the grind of the coffee but it messes up my Kurig! I love to have a cup of decaf occasionally before bed and can not use these pods, it s not my Pot because I drink at least four cups every morning of Moutain Green and NEVER have this problem. 1Only on the short cup setting. I like my coffee medium bold. For example, I usually use the mug setting on my Keurig (only have the two settings on my model,) and tend not to like full-strength Starbucks Cafe Americano. That being said, this coffee is considered "light roast" and I thought it would be good for a night-time cuppa when I have to get up for work at o-darkthirty. My first experience was at the larger mug setting, and this was too watery for me. The regular coffee setting (small mug) makes it taste acceptable. Not impressed, love my San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser too much and wish that had a decaf offering. Won't order this again. 3Very good, but not the best I have had... My wife and I are coffee hounds. It's our ice cream. For over 50 years since college, I have tried a zillion coffees. We got a K machine for XMAS a few years back and went on to try as many coffees as we could find. We checked all the reviews and enjoyed many of the coffees. I like to get a cup of regular in the AM and then drink decaf the rest of the day. We both enjoyed the Donut House brands and the decaf was a hit with me. I rate it very good. But then I descovered Tully's decaf and I have been spoiled for life. That beats DH and is my go-to decaf. If you haven't tried it, you need to. Now, it is a little stronger than the DH brand and if you like a lighter coffee, you might prefer the DH decaf. But Tully's is like ice cream. WOW... 4Causes Keurig to Over Pressure and Abort Brew DANGEROUS Risk of Burn!!! The product cannot be returned... the over pressure causes grounds to jam the brewer getting grounds into the machine and risking a burn!!! I called the manufacturer and they hung up after I told Service they HUNG UP on Me!!!Great Customer ServiceBTW I have a ton of this and other of their dangerous cupsKeurig has co0nfirmed the 20% extra coffee is a problem! 1
