Better than crutches but poor quality controlEasy to assemble and fit in the back of the car. Definitely better than crutches. Steering is a bit unstable due to the small hard wheels and knob the adjusts the handle bar height which tends to loosen easily on bumpy surfaces. (which I think is common to most knee scooters)Update: I was looking at my knee scooter to try to figure out why steering was wobbly and I noticed the tube that the handle bar was inserted in, was welded on backwards and had the cutout that is supposed to hold the head of the bolt that attached the handle bars, on the front of the tube instead of the of the back of the tube or the side nearest to the knee pad. Because the way the bolt and knob we're assembled at the factory and the backwards welded tube, my scooter was such that the handle bars would never lock properly and therefore wobble until I installed the knurled knob and bolt reverse of how I received the scooter. It looks stupid but it works now.2COMPLETE GAME CHANGER!!!!!! MUST HAVE over crutches!!!This product has changed my life and this Knee Walker is fantastic. Crutches are horrible and cost $55.00 from the hospital. For the cost of this product the difference is amazing. I had a torn Achilles surgery and I can get around anywhere in tight spaces now. Great for the bathroom and kitchen, went Grocery Shopping, work meetings, train station, and I can whip around my home or others with ease(carpet/or hard surface) Also, it only took me 5 minutes to assemble right out of the box already pre - assembled. Could not be happier.5Well made. Serves its purpose.Had foot surgery and drs recomened a knee scooter but not covered by insurance so i got this. I was little dismayed when I saw the small box it came in, I thought I was going to have to put the thing together. Fortunatly it was only in 4 pieces and went to gether pretty easy. I only need it for a few weeks so i did not want to soend to much. The seatpad itself is a bit slippery so I recomend adding a pad or tieing a towel over the seat Note: This is for hard surfaces it doesn't work in the grass and be careful on uneven surfaces. This is great for the house and i use it for short distances on the sidewalk.5Goodbye crutches!!!!Do yourself a favor and order the knee walker BEFORE you have surgery so you dont waste any time with crazy crutches!. I'm recuperating from some severe foot surgery and cant have any weight on one foot for 4 weeks. I live in an old farmhouse and my crutches kept catching on the old plank floors, and if any water was on the tile floor (even just a little) it was enough to send crutches and me flying, and I'm a pretty strong and athletic person! The knee walker has given me back access to my home, I'm even thinking about cooking dinner tonight! It took only three bolts to put it together. The instructions can be greatly improved if they would increase the size of the first few photos so you can see it better, but I figured it out and had it put together in less than 15 minutes and I'm dyslexic..and had to put it together while sitting on the sofa! Very sturdy and has a good turn radius, makes good tight corners. A basket would be nice but I just hung a cloth shopping bag from the handle bars so I can move things from room to room. YAYAYAY for no more crutches!5Motorin!This thing has saved my life and my marriage. I m pretty much trapped for 8 weeks and this has allowed me to take care of my basic needs on my own. Well made, basic, sturdy and value priced. Haven t taken it outside but it s great indoors. Handbrake is invaluable. Kneepad made of very dense and comfortable rubber feeling foam. No additional padding necessary, IMO.5Five "S" tarsFive "S" tars! "S" turdy, "S" table, "S" mooth, "S" imple, "S" afe. Better than what the doctor ordered, seriously. This is so much better than crutches. There are, however, couple things I feel I should mention. Because it is so stable if you have ever ridden a 2 wheel scooter it might take a few rides to learn your balance on this scooter because you can't lean into the turns. So take it easy at first and don't go too fast right off the bat. Additionally, there is a little bit of assembly required, but no tools are needed other than a pair of scissors to assist with removing the scooter from the packaging. I would highly recommend this scooter to anyone with a lower leg, ankle, or foot injury who may currently be struggling with crutches.5Great Knee Scooter!!!Received the knee scooter today. It was so easy to assemble it only took around 10 minutes.. My husband is very happy with it. It's easy for him to get around since its not bulky. He also stated its much easier on his other leg, he doesn't need to put so much pressure and he doesn't get stiff and crampy as he does when he uses his crutches or walker. Would definitely recommend. A++++5Defective wheel bearingI bought this scooter for my daughter, who broke her ankle playing flag football at school. The scooter seemed to be well made, but after less than a month of use, the bearing in the right wheel came out and nearly caused her to fall and re-injure her ankle. I hope the company will back their product and replace the bearing in a timely matter so that my daughter can continue to use it instead of crutches.1right front wheel fell apartWell, this is a very basic knee scooter. It got me through my post op recovery, after a repair of the front right wheel situation. I had to have an Achilles tendon repair and revision recently. I ordered this knee scooter because the cost was cheaper than the rental fee for the time period needing the "no weight baring" time. I was four days post op when I was in my kitchen and the ball bearings fell out. Well, it still scootered about for a brief time when suddenly the wheel FELL OFF of the device! Fortunately, I was standing by my kitchen counter and was able to brace myself up till my husband was able to get me a chair and my crutches! I tried to find the information to call the company, no number. Attempted to email the company with the email in the package, bad address. I am glad my husband figured out how to replace the wheel to get me through the time needed. I sounded like the Wheel of Fortune moving about and my family had no problem locating me in a store. The other bad side of this scooter is, little rocks, "pot holes" in the sidewalk, or obstructions in the path, will cause it to stop suddenly or topple easily. If you purchase this scooter, be aware that this can and will happen. It was almost impossible to use a handicap ramp that has grooves or bumps on them.2A life saver from crutchesI had taylor bunion surgery and toe correction and have been using crutches. I hate cutches and the knee scooter came today. It is s little stiff straight out the box but I can monover it around. I m still on pain killers do I have to careful I did hit my other ankle on the side. But with just some adjustments in the house I can get from room to room much better. The seat is a bit hard so I m buying a pad. Since I will be using this scooter for sometime I wish I had purchased a basket but in the house it would get in the way. I will get s pouch for my cell phone and keys when I can go out. It was easy to put together. My husband had it together in less than 10 minutes. I Can turn corners in the house and do from title to rugs with no problems which I was concerned about. Over all I am pleased. I didn t give it a 5 because I haven t been outside and won t be able to for two weeks. If any issues I ll update this review.4
