Tasty when they aren't covered in dead bugI love these Almonds and used to buy them on a weekly basis until my local grocer stopped stocking them. So to Amazon I went, and ordered in bulk. While most of the packages have tasted as expected, some were stale (literally ordered this two weeks ago), and unfortunately the pack I opened this morning had not only Dry Roasted Almonds in it, but also accompanied by the web of a bug that died in the bag. The little critter is pictured in the bottom right of the attached photo. I wrote a letter to the company this morning informing them of my discovery.3DisappointingCashews are a great treat. The 100 calorie packages are truly useful.The jalapeno flavoring was a disappointment. Cashews are naturally sweet and buttery, which makes them a great foil for hot and salty flavors. Unfortunately the jalapeno flavoring added to these lacked salt and had only a little heat. The dominant flavor was the sweetener added. Theg added sweetness made them bland and unsatisfying. The cashews seemed usually small.The manufacture should take two weeks off and try Trader Joe's wasabi cashews.3Too Stale to EatAll three kinds of nuts in this package were too stale to eat, much less to enjoy. I feel like I just dumped my money in the trash along with these nuts. I searched and searched for a Best By date, but could not find one on the box or the individual packets. From the taste, these nuts probably expired around 1994 or 1995.1Missing packages and empty wrappersThis package of 18 was missing at 4 packages of almonds. In addition, one package was open and all the almonds were strewn throughout the bottom of the box. Very disappointed. My box of 18 was really only 13. If the product is old or stale...will be even more crabby.1StaleVery unhappy with these nuts. I attempted to contact Emerald, however there was not a number on the box. I could go to facebook (am not a member). Went to their website to find a # to call. Was shuffled to another website and that one said the website was not available. Very frustrating. Will probably not buy these again.1Only ONE box of 7 packs past expiration dateI really loved this particular flavor of nuts when I bought them from my local grocery store, but I recently found out that they are about to stop carrying them. I was excited that Amazon offered an alternative way to get them, but unfortunately they are twice as expensive ($10 for ONE box with 7 packs of nuts in them) and suffer from quality control issues (box I received was past expiration date). I recommend these if you can find them somewhere else.3
