These are comfortable and work perfectlyAfter cataract surgery, I had great distance vision but needed reading glasses. I found, while wearing drugstore reading glasses, I kept taking them off to talk to people or look out the window or for any other need to see farther away clearly. When I found these on Amazon, I was elated. They work so well for my purpose. I would give them 5 stars for functionality and comfort, and the only reason I considered dropping it to 4 was they sit slightly crookedly on my face. I contacted the company, because I didn't want to break them by attempting a correction. The company told me to try and if it didn't work they would replace them. I haven't tried because I don't want to be without them. I didn't want to break the spring or the hard-plastic earpiece. 5Distortion - cheaply made - waste of moneyI was hoping this pair of bifocal readers would allow me to work at my computer and read the papers on my desk at the same time. I received them today, so I eagerly put them on and tried to read a paper. I saw some distortion so I took the glasses off and looked at the lenses. The bifocal part of the lenses look like tape placed on the outside of each of the lenses. It's kind of thick, which is probably why I'm seeing distortion around the outer edges of the tape. My reader strength is only 1.5 so I'm surprised by the level of distortion that I'm seeing. Also, the glasses do not sit level on my nose unless I tilt the ear part up about a half inch into my hair line above my ears. These won't work for me and at $17.00, I'm disappointed. They should be priced at about $2.50. I don't have time to return them to Amazon so I put them in my donation to charity box. 1Best bifocal I have found on AmazonThese bifocals are excellent! The bifocal area is placed perfectly for me, down far enough to leave enough clear glass but not too small to read comfortably. I have purchased multiple pair, and these are the winners by far.They are also lightweight on your face, but plenty sturdy and have spring temples, a plus.Their customer service is above and beyond!! I dealt with them (not a quality issue, color) and they are THE BEST. Never fear their standing by their sale and then some. I plan to get some more pair as soon as I can! 5SPRING HINGE DEFECTIVE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOXThese are nice looking glasses that were packaged well and they arrived quickly but the pair I ordered showed up defective. The right-side temple spring hinge (a main selling feature in their product title) was defective and floppy. The left side worked as it should. So either they shipped me a previously returned item that was not taken out of inventory or their manufacturing/quality control is poor. Either way a brand new item that is defective out of the box doesn't give me the trust to exchange or re-order. Returned the item for a refund. 2Look very cute on and save the up and down, up and down of readersThese work great. They are so cute on and I don't have to pull my glasses up and down every second now! I can just leave them on my face. They are not fancy, and you can see the bifocal part, but I don't like the progressives. My friend paid $400 for a pair of these from the eye doctor. Try these first I would say! 5Bifocal Reading GlassesGlasses are lightweight and fit, no problem with them sliding down when I look down. Being able to see the outline of the bifocal takes some getting used to. I wore no-line bifocals before but since having cataract surgery I no longer need glasses for distance but I definitely need the magnification for reading or other close-up work. The only "readers" I've been able to find in stores have the magnification in the entire lens so I was always pulling them off to see distance and putting them on to see close. These do eliminate that problem. Would like more options in frame style and color; would probably buy more pairs. 4Perfect!I recently had cataract surgery and all I need to wear are +200 readers. It is such a pain to keep readers on the end of my nose all day so I thought I would try these. They are perfect. The readers are in just the right place and I can see clearly out of the top part of these glasses. I like the frames being clear because they can go with everything. Very comfortable. I would order these again and again! 5Love that the bifocal line is on the inside of the lenses rather than outsideThese glasses are great. I am wearing them now, in fact. I finally got tired of the old "reading glasses on a string" thing and decided to give these a try. I had purchased a couple of other brands, but didn't like the fact that the bifocal part is stuck on the outside of the lenses and looks stupid, IMHO; however, these have the bifocal ridge on the inside of the lens, leaving the outside smooth. It just looks neater and tidier.I just wish that they had more styles/shapes. Other than that, they are just perfect! 4UnusableThese glasses are useless. The bifocals aren t even located evenly on the lens. Because of this your vision appears cross eyed when using these glasses. I attached a photo with the bifocal outlined with a marker to show how messed up these glasses are. 1If you have a wide face, I think you'll love theseI ordered these in black with magnification 2.5, which is what I normally use. I'm delighted to say that these glasses are even better than I anticipated. I am plus size (20/22) with a rather wide face, and because the hinges on these glasses swing out a bit, they do NOT pinch my temples like my other readers do. There's actually even a little bit of space between the arms of the glasses and face, which means no marks or indentations on my skin when I take these off. Yay! And yet these glasses feel secure on my face and don't slide off when I tilt my head down, due to the great hinges.It is wonderful to finally be able to leave my glasses on all day and not have to bother with the constant on/off routine every time I need to read something up close. The bifocal part of the glasses is NOT a sticker. They're actually part of the glass, and I find they're big enough to be able to read without much effort. If you've never used bifocals before, there will of course be an adjustment period, but once you get the hang of it I think you'll find it quickly becomes second nature.As for the magnification of the bifocals, I normally use a 2.5 and these are exactly as my other 2.5s. No blurriness at all. Everything's crystal clear.If you're on the fence about these like I was, I say take the plunge. I was honestly surprised at how great these are and I think the style of the frames will work with most face shapes. They look modern enough on me to not make me feel like I'm wearing "old lady glasses" yet they also don't make me feel like I'm trying to be a hipster, if that makes sense. I think the style is pretty middle of the road and suitable for all ages. 5
