You CANNOT Make True Buffalo Wings Without Frank's Original Red Hot Sauce!And that is a stone cold fact. The original Buffalo Wings, invented in 1964, used Frank's as their secret ingredient, and it has been used ever since.This gallon of sauce cost me UNDER $10 with a 15% off coupon. That's about equal to the cost of five 6 ounce bottles at my local grocery chain. Even without the 15% off coupon, it is still only $11.28 or .088 cents per ounce. And with free next day delivery for Prime members in many areas, I don't even have to spend money on gas going to a warehouse club to get this size, even if it IS at the same price right now.The flavor of Frank's is just right for many foods and dishes. I WOULD recommend that if you don't have them, that you get yourself some smaller bottles to make it easier for use at the table. I got this for our almost end of summer wings party for next week.Simply mix the Frank's with butter, vinegar, garlic powder and a touch of cayenne and you have Buffalo Wing Sauce as served at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, birthplace of Buffalo Wings. Due to the amount of wings I am making next week (30 pounds) I will use approximately half of this gallon. The rest will get bottled up for the tables around our four-plex and office/plant.If you crave the true taste of Buffalo Wings as originally made at the Anchor Bar, then you GOTTA get Frank's! The cupboard is never bare of Frank's -- On several occasions I have mentioned to others how I would love to buy it by the gallon or by the barrel. Then one day typing out gallon of Frank's Hot Sauce my heart palpitated. To my surprise it was gloriously before my very eyes -- Frank's luscious red hot sauce in one gallon containers. I had died and gone straight to heaven.I literally drench pretty much everything with Frank's Hot Sauce -- ask anyone that knows me, I refer to it as my medicine -- first sign of sneeze or cough and I drink some Frank's. Luckily a prescription is not required for purchase.The seller was very prompt in getting my order out via UPS -- unfortunately though UPS decided to play with the parcel a while prior to delivery -- when I greeted the UPS person at the door he handed it to me showing the good side. I felt something on my hand when I moved the box so to carry with both hands. The box was wet and the weather was dreary, my first thought went out of my mind. Opening up parcel there was lots of bubble wrap (Frank's Hot Sauce Red Bubble wrap) retrieving the jug most of Frank was gone. I placed everything in a fresh garbage bag and emailed amazon and seller explaining the situation.Seller was very prompt in replying with an offer to refund or replace. Well I did not want the money I wanted Frank's . . . informing seller as such. I was happy seller was standing behind what they sell -- I was dumbfounded that seller reshipped via next day service. I was positive a wait was ahead of me for the replacement. Grade A seller! Seller is TheShops.I highly recommend, recommend, and recommend Frank's Hot Sauce . . . none better! If so, look no further.This is the last hot sauce you will ever need to buy. I was on a kick of buying smaller bottles of hot sauce from my super expensive local grocery store, only to go through them in a week. I looked for something bigger and came across this. Super cheap, super a lot of hot sauce. So I bought it. I used it daily, multiple times, for weeks. Finally, I moved across the country a few months later and had to throw out over half the bottle. It's the same great Franks red hot flavor, just in maximum capacity. Definitely buy this if you're a Franks fan - the unit price makes it worth it!5I Put That Sh*t On Everything!! -- One Gallon of RedHot!!!!Great Deal, Great Product. I order this every few months, because I simply use it all the time. Comes in a very heavy-duty plastic jug and is usually in a plastic bag inside the Amazon box. (Is sealed under the cap, but sometimes can leak a little during shipping if the cap isn't 100% tight.) Shake, shake, shake!For whatever reason I think the institutional one gallon size of Red Hot has a very slightly thinner consistency than the "little tiny" bottles from the grocery store. I don't mind this one bit as I usually refill a couple of the smaller glass bottles and one of those "cookout type" plastic squeeze ketchup bottles at regular intervals, so it's less messy.Possibly due to the consistency or institutional makeup, it does separate very easily. Shake, shake, shake the jug whenever dispensing. I will put the cap back on and reshake the jug while pouring, just to be sure of the consistency if I'm transferring it very slowly. And I actually like the slightly thinner consistency of this product, as I can usually get away with pouring directly from the jug into small bottles!!The flavor is identical to the tabletop size for all intents and purposes. Just store it somewhere cool and out of sunlight and you're good to go for at least a couple of months. I used to work in a commercial kitchen and we always had this exact product around (sometimes in glass jugs) -- and after maybe 3 or 4 months the flavor would get a little bit "hotter" yet blander and very separated, interestingly seemed to age faster in the clear glass than the new grayish plastic.And don't forget to SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE...5If you like lots of Original Flavor Frank's Red Hot, you have come to the right place!I love Frank's Red Hot Original flavor and was going through bottles and bottles of the stuff that I purchased locally. You just can't go wrong with a gallon of hot sauce.5High Quality SauceI had a bottle of Frank's RedHot Original and Frank's Wing Sauce in the past and I thought that the Original was very good. That is what prompted me to buy this product, Frank's RedHot Xtra Hot.The sauce, to my taste buds, is very close to the famous Tabasco Sauce original sauce. The original Tabasco, I have heard, is the only commercial product allowed, and ever required, to be presented at the table in its original bottle by the Cordon Bleu (sic) Academy such is its famous.Anyway, this stuff both in appearance, heat lavel, and taste is remarkably close. The Tabasco may or may not have had a slightly more lingering savor though they both are excellent sauces especially considering the price for the Frank's.I make a kind of ;Thai sweet pepper sauce from sugar, Tapatio hot sauce, a small amount of Bragg's vinegar and Golden Barrel Blackstrap molasses. Tapatio is supposedly a favorite in California and is also a good sauce. In my Thai or Asian type sweet sauce, I have, on occasion, boosted it a bit with a jigger of Tabasco original. Frank's Xtra Hot should be like making it with all Tabasco.Bottom like is that this is a good sauce, fairly hot, and at a good price. If you like a more garlic flavor you can probably try Louisiana Supreme or Valentina, a sauce which is not overy hot but very flavorful and is supposedly the most popular table brand in Mexico itself.Try all the hout sauces you can is my motto. Get this sauce. It'll probably keep forever in the refrigerator and may even age and improve like a fine wine.5My favorite hot sauce... best blend of flavor and heatThere are a lot of store brands, but I grew out of most of them. Tabasco, Texas Pete's, Louisiana, Crystal... none of them do it for me anymore. After you adjust to the heat, you realize the flavor is just not very good. I can't say the same for Frank's... it's no longer hot, but the flavor is perfect. But who needs a full gallon of hot sauce? I bought a 32 oz bottle and it lasted about 6 months for one person, so this bottle would last nearly 2 years if I didn't find myself putting it on more and more things as well as cooking with it.The other thing that's good about Frank's is that you can use it as a base and then add other peppers, powders, or oils to increase the heat. A friend would add some ghost or scorpion pepper to his to keep the fruity forward flavor of Frank's with a lingering heat that stuck around for a while. This size makes that experimentation a lot easier and cheaper.5
