You will not regret buying these! Be sure to measure you calf for accurate sizing!I am a nurse and am on my feet for a minimum of 12 hours at a time. I have also developed varicose veins which really ache some days.After trying these compression socks the aching in my legs has decreased significantly. There are nights I forget to start my shift with them and after a few hours I realize why my legs hurt so much. As soon as I put them on it's like ahhh..relief. Every time someone sees me with them they ask me where I got them and if they are as good as they seem and my answer is always YES! I wear them when I fly and drive long distances too. I wash them in cold water and hang dry them to keep the elasticity. I will also mention that after about 8 hours they start to make the back of the knee area a little raw and that't when I take them off. There are a bunch of cool colors to choose from too! 5Re: Ripped/holes after 25 usesBought the 20/30 mmg version. Used probably 25x and washed probably 10x. Today when putting them on, one of them developed (2) large rips and holes, one nearly the entire length of the sleeve and the other approximately 1/2 way...I'd say the durability is not good. I will buy another brand now. 2Great compression but not meant for those people that are shorter than 5 foot 4 inches.I'm training for a Spartan race and have started jogging/ running again. I knew I was going to have problems with my calves and knees hurting, so I figured I would try the Thirty48 compression sleeve. Problem is, I 5 foot 2, and these are just way too long by at least 3 inches. However, the fabric is nice, and they weren't too tight, bought the large since I have large calves, and they seem like they would help with circulation and recovery, if only they were shorter. Unfortunately, I have to return them and find a pair that is shorter in length. 4Got rid of shin splints 100% - I am really impressedI got the black ones with the red stripe, so they are 20-30 mmhg. (Most of the other colors are lower pressure). They were actually for a long plane flight, to reduce DVT risk. I figured I would test them out on a run to see how they feel. I ran 3 miles and up to 7 mph at times (which for me is fast & can make my shins really hurt). I had no pain...zero. It was really strange. I can't believe something so basic can be this effective. The tightness isn't that bad... just a little odd - and it has a cooling fabric. The tightness actually makes you feel like your legs are supported in a way. 5Thirty48 Works Wonders for Me!These calf sleeves have been very beneficial. I am 62 years young and in the midst of a health campaign. I power walk 6 days/week and alternate 3.5 and 4.2 miles on every other day. I was advised to get sleeves because my lower legs were throbbing and painfully sore each night. After getting these sleeves, my legs do not throb any more and on occasion I have soreness but not with the degree of pain I used to get. Honestly, I was not aware of the brand at the time I decided to purchase sleeves. I did Internet research on this type product and learned of the brand and its quality construction for the price. After reading many reviews, I decided to give the brand a try. I DO NOT regret buying them and highly recommend them. I have an equal opinion of the brand's Plantar Fasciitis Socks, which I purchased with these sleeves. 5Helps with shin painI went five days without running to try to help my shin pain go away and thought I would try some type of shin compression sleeve. I already wear knee braces to help prevent knee pains and shin splints but when I started out running I landed hard on my right leg and it caused pain in my shins and the pain didn't go away. These came in the mail today and although there is some support, I don't think it will be enough for my shins.*****UPDATE: It's been almost a year and I still wear these every time I run. I bought a different brand of compression sleevss as well and also a pair of compression socks and neither of them give the support that these do. I don't run without them. 515-22 mmHg too tightBought these for a trip coming up via air travel. However, these are so tight that they will cut off my circulation instead of helping blood circulation. I measured my calf and bought the correct size according to the description. But these were so tight and my toes tingled and they left visible marks right beneath my knees. Unfortunately, I was not able to return these since I threw away the package. Edited the rating from a 1-star to 3-star to reflect good customer service from the company. The company contacted me to offer a replacement or gift card for my inconvenience. I truly think the product's quality is good but the sizing is off and they just didn't fit me. Kudos to the company for contacting me promptly and their attempt to resolve any issues regarding their product. 3Perfect product for increasing blood circulation and eliminating pain & discomfort from varicose veins!I have horrible varicose veins in both legs, partially due to hereditary (10-15 years ago both parents had varicose veins stripped from one leg & dad is ready to have other leg taken care of soon) ...and in my case for the right leg, huge varicose vein blow out from senior-year high school co-ed gym class injury during softball unit, one of the guys was goofing off and threw a ball, which hit the ground and full-force smacked the inside of my right leg, just below the knee. Now 17 years later after the injury in P.E., I have experienced abnormal swelling in right calf/ankle/foot. I am a chef and on my feet 10hrs/day 6 days/week. Finally seeing a vein specialist who ordered me to wear calf sleeves with 20-30 mm/Hg compression. I purchased a pair of "CEP" brand, 20-30mm/Hg graduated compression calf sleeves from the vein center for $40 and then came home and searched for the same product sold here on amazon.com I came across the "Thirty 48" brand and found this two-pack deal 2pair for $35! I have to wear these as close to 24-7 as possible (only remove them to shower and then put on a clean pair). These MUST be hand-washed and line-dried to maximize effectiveness of the graduated compression (nylon &spandex). I have been wearing them now for 10 days and can't believe the difference the constant compression has made in reducing fatigue and heavy/throbbing feeling in lower legs by the end of the day. I will have my varicose veins in both legs treated with laser procedure and then vein stripping. I am instructed to continue wearing the calf sleeves for at least 1 year after my vein procedure. I will be buying more! 5Buying More -- Super WonderfulVery good quality, comfortable, very tight.I'm 5'3-4", my leg measurement from the top of my outside ankle bone to the area just under my knee is 13", my calf is about 14.25" diameter and the area right at my ankle is 7.75" and just above that, the lower part of my leg is 9.75", which graduates up to 14.25" at the calf and maintains swelling up to my knee. Been this way for years; activity and hot temperatures exacerbate it. I had purchased the Zenzha brand a few years ago small/medium and they just didn't seem to be effective enough to bother with them every day. But these Thirty48 Small are wonderful. They are very tight and hard to get on compared to the Zenzha's but so worth it. My legs feel alive and do not hurt during hikes, or just by the end of the day. The swelling is kept to a minimum and I'm hoping that the improvement in circulation will help reduce the fluid over time. My husband suggested that I wear them at night. I grabbed the Zensah ones last night as they are lighter, and this morning I noticed less of a bulge at the base of my legs. It seems the Thirty48 are a bit more geared to a wider range of sizes in that they offer specifically a small size -- also the pair has a right and a left indicator label on the inside, they also list the measurement of compression but I could not tell what compression the small is. I hope this review is helpful. 5Worth the money!!!! Upping my intensity and reducing my calf cramps, I am loving these cool and well made sleeves!I've been using these for about two weeks and am very happy with them. I have extremely tight calves and may have plantar fasciitis so I've been stretching more and got these to help with the pain after exercising. They have a great compression in the calves which a few others that I tried didn't. Some of them just feel like socks and I definitely felt the graduated compression of these sleeves as I pulled them on. Someone asked me if they were hot, and I realized that they are truly breathable. I could definitely feel cooler air moving around the room so either they disperse the moisture exceptionally quickly or have a strong and open weave that doesn't make you sweat like a lycra or elastic sock would. I'm already getting ready to order some of the Thirty48 socks to help with my feet after the experience I've had with the sleeves. I do a lot of cardio and high intensity interval training like Insanity, P90X and Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30. If you need something that can help survive the sweat and stress in these programs I believe you've found the right product. There is no miracle cure, so I've been stretching my feet and calves more, and believe these sleeves have helped in defeating the painful cramping my calves got while exercising. I've been able to workout harder and longer than before I purchased these. 5
