Torn ear lobe? These work!These are great! I have used them for many years now.I had a dog catch it's paw on a large hoop earring and he nearly tore my ear lobe clean through. I could not re-pierce and did not want to go to the expense of reconstruction. Sadly I thought I would not be able to wear earrings again.A jewelry store sales person turned me onto these and I have used them ever since. I double up the patch for extra hold, and I can wear my long dangling earrings again. SO HAPPY! 5I will definitely keep buying these!This product is great! I have a few pairs of earrings that I had always hesitated to wear because they were so heavy, and because my left ear already has a slit that was accidentally stretched a while ago, that I am fearful of the heavier earrings because I didn't want them to tear thru.Anyhow, I now have no concerns, really. These little stickers work to keep the slit from tearing, and as directed to insert the earring at the top of the slit, it actually doesn't look like I have an elongated slit at all when I use them!I tried to "cheat" and just use some medical tape to mimic what these ear lobe stickers do, but the regular tape is not as able to accept the earring piercing through it, which means that the developers of these Lobe Wonders took their time to figure out just the right combination of tape strength with ease of puncture.I will definitely keep buying this product, as it now makes it possible for me to wear my favorite dangly earrings easily and without concern for tearing through my ear lobes.5Lobe Wonder is my very best friend in life.GOD BLESS the ear lobe wonder! I had one side of my earlobes break. And I was heartbroken. I am a fashion conscious lady, and I have so many earrings it would be so heartbreaking to find out I couldn't wear my earrings any more. They are my best friends! 5Because of this product, I can now wear the earrings that were forced into an early retirement!I wish I'd found these sooner, they're fantastic! I've never worn very heavy earrings, but rather than studs I mostly wear dangling earrings. I've always slept in my earrings and tend to sleep predominantly on my left side. Consequently, that lobe has become stretched over time, and even my lightest earrings hang low in the piercing, while the right ear looks completely fine. I found Lobe Wonder Support Patches and they completely eliminate the problem! Easy to apply, and I get no irritation from the patches on my skin. I'm having a blast wearing earrings I literally haven't worn in years, and they look great! I use a patch on the unstretched ear as "insurance" to prevent it from stretching like the left ear. So comfortable, I completely forget I'm wearing them! Highly recommended. 5Why did you have to change the product?I don't know what happened. I loved this product until you changed it. It came in new packaging, which is very nice; however, the patches do not have the same quality they did before. They don't stick anymore. Now, it is fair to say that I may have received a bad batch, but I'm just disappointed. I was able to wear them through a shower before. Now, they just randomly fall off. If it ain't broke, it don't need fixing. I'm still angry about these. They don't even last through the day. I wanted my money. Why did you change them. 3Stretched piercing miracle worker!These have saved my ears from surgery! I used a home-party brand of earrings several years ago that left my ears infected and enlarged my piercing to pure slits. I haven t been able to wear earrings in YEARS because they would pull too hard or just dangle incorrectly.Not anymore. These little stickers are magic. They stay on for days if you want (trust me, I showered and went to gym and the stickers still didn t budge until I switch them out!). They basically reinforce the back of your ear and allow your earring to stay in place, without pulling on your piercing hole or causing the earring to fall low. 5Best solution ever to take weight off your earrings for proper wear & comfort!This product has changed my life! About 10 years ago a baby ripped an earring out of one of my ears. The hole was not torn all the way, but as close as you could get to the bottom. I have worn earrings on & off since then (only small ones with no weight to them), but I knew it looked bad because one side hung down so low. Plus even the smallest earrings ended up hurting that ear at the end of the day. Recently I heard of a product similiar to this and an Amazon search of that led me to find Lobe Wonder (based on reviews & price). After several weeks I am only on my second set of patches. This is with showering every day. They really just don t come off & yet when you decide you want new ones (for me I just felt funny after a couple of weeks not changing them) they peel right off! My earrings sit exactly right now, but the best part is even with heavier earrings they just don t hurt anymore! I highly recommend this product! 5Tip: apply alcohol first if you have oily skinI ve been wearing earrings in my pierced ears for about 35 years, so as you can imagine, my once perfect holes are now long slits. I discovered the Lobe Wonder product about 6 years ago and have been buying them ever since. I ve never bought any other brands so I have nothing to compare them to, but I do really love how they work. They re fairly thick with a textured finish, and they ve always adhered really well to my ears. I ve even occasionally kept them on overnight and used them again the next day. Just stick one on the back of your ear, and make sure it s centered over your hole - I push firmly with my thumb over the patch and my fingers on the front of my ear to get an even stick . Then when you re pushing your earring through the hole from the front, just keep two fingers on the patch in the back to support it (like above and below where the post will be coming through). Since I now have a long slit, I aim up towards the top of the patch when I m pushing my earring through my hole. You can t even tell that I have a slit because the patch keeps it closed quite nicely.And just a tip for those of you with oily skin. If you swab a little alcohol over the back of your ear before you apply the patch (and let it dry, of course), you ll find that the patch adheres and stays put really well.5Life saver for someone with a totally ripped ear!I am a repeat buyer of this product and am never let down. I have one earlobe that has completely ripped through. For years, I tried to simply use earring backs that have the large plastic discs. This works to an extent. However, one wrong flip of the hair, shirt removal, or bear hug, and the earring flies off. Its quite annoying. I have probably 100 orphan studs laying around now. I don't throw them away because sometimes I'll find one in the sheets or under the sofa and it's like Christmas all over again! Using this method, I could not wear any type of chandelier or dandling earring. The weight just couldn't be supported. Then enter Amazon... One "ripped earlobe" search later, and my life was changed for the better! These babies never fail me. They are discreet and can hold the weight of a freight train. So thankful to have these!! 1000% recommend!5Did they switch to a cheaper glue?Unfortunately I guess it's time for me to seek out a new brand. I've been buying Lobe Wonder patches for years but with my last order, it seems they've switched to a cheaper glue. I used to be able to wear the same set of patches for anywhere between 3-5 days. Now, after just a day or 2, the patches start to slide down my lobes. It's a shame because I was truly faithful to this brand for so long. 2Um, amazingI don't know why there's been any bad reviews on these. These are a lifesaver. I have very thin skin, so when my nephew ripped one of my earrings practically through my ear I was sure I was going to have to pay $500 to put a few stitches in it. I stopped wearing all the earrings I loved. Then I found these.First of all, you can wear these more than once. Just don't take them off and reapply the same ones. I just leave them on through my bath or shower, and they are still able to be used the next day. The only issue with this is that when you do take them off that next day/night, there is a little residue from where the adhesive got wet. Just take a washcloth and some non irritating soap and rub it off. It's easy.I now can wear all the earrings I love. AND, if I want to wear really heavy earrings for an event, I can just double the adhesives up and boom, instant support. For such a cheap price, these are amazing and I'm so happy I tried them on a whim. They delivered fast and are 100% worth it. They don't irritate my skin at all and are easy to apply. You also don't see them and forget they're on. I'm thankful!5In case you're wondering what these patches actually are . . .These are ovals of clear medical tape, about 3/8" long, that you peel off a piece of paper and stick to the back of your ear lobe. You are paying for the convenience of having the ovals cut out for you; if you were thrifty and handy with scissors you could buy a roll of tape and make your own.I recommend cleaning the back of your ear lobe with rubbing alcohol and letting it dry before applying the tape. This will remove natural oils and moisturizer/makeup residue and help the tape adhere.I wear wire earrings rather than posts. My ears were pierced at home with a needle rather than with a gun, and sometimes I have to work a bit to get the wires to go through. Because of this I can't stick the tape to my ear and then push the wire through it; I have to put the wire through the lobe, pierce the tape with the wire, then push the tape along the wire to the lobe and stick it on. This was pretty awkward the first couple of times and I did have to reposition the tape more than once, but it got easier with practice.I bought these because my holes have stretched into slits and I haven't been able to wear the dangly earrings I really like. I hoped these patches would allow me to wear my favorite earrings again.After several attempts to pierce the patches low enough and place them on my lobes high enough, I did feel they provided some support. They don't provide the miracle cure shown on the packaging, but they may at least help prevent the holes from stretching more than they already have. Maybe they'll work better as my technique improves.What would probably work better, though, if the color of the tape doesn't contrast too much with your skin tone, is cutting patches out of "flesh" colored cloth medical tape. Cloth tape would offer much more support than this kind of thin, clear tape. I actually might give that a try . . .3Hard to place over your earring hole behind your ear. It worked when I did it on the front of the hole.I couldn't get them placed correctly behind my ear over my earring hole. I'm not really sure why but when I tried it according to the directions, it didn't really work for me. So I tried placing them over the hole on the front side of my ear. Then it worked. I have pretty long hair which covers my ears and earrings with large decoration on the upper post part so the patches don't show. Still looking for something that works better though. 3Weak AdhesiveI've ordered these lobe patches (Lobe Wonder) a few times in the past, however, this time I used a new vendor, not sure if they sent me the actual "Lobe Wonder" brand, or switched to some cheaper product but still claimed these were "Lobe Wonder Patches" This order was different from previous orders, the adhesive was very weak and my earrings fell off! Won't use this vendor again. 1Very bad quality. I purchased Lobe Wonders from Walmart a ...FALSE ADVERTISING! The Lobe Wonder package arrived with different "Ear Wonder" stickies. Very bad quality. I purchased Lobe Wonders from Walmart a year ago (they don't seem to carry them anymore), and the quality was much better. 1
