We trials a bag to make sure she liked them and then I made her cookies with themBEST THING ABOUT THESE ARE THAT THE COLORING ON THE SHELL DOES NOT COME OFF WHEN MIXING! I bought these for my daughter that is anaphylactic to 6 of the TOP 8 puls many other foods. She has always wanted to try M&M chocolate chip cookies and once I found this company and reasurched it to make sure it was safe for her I bought it. We trials a bag to make sure she liked them and then I made her cookies with them. If we can give them 10 stars I would. Chocolate inside is nice and creamy.5Old and NastyThis candy is OLD, OLD, OLD....looks like it has been stored in a hot warehouse for the last 20 years. Discolored, cracked, and crushed. Disgusting looking and inedible. My 4 year-old was so excited to get an "m&m's" alternative he could eat because he is allergic to milk, eggs, and nuts...he won't touch them. What a let down.1greatGreat alternative for people with allergies. Purposely ordered these in the winter so melting wouldn't be an issue. They taste like "sixletts" with a faint fruit flavor on the shell, and I mean faint, from the natural coloring.5Disappointed with Choco No No sAs a person recently vegan, I have been looking for the thing I miss the most .... chocolate! A friend recommended the Choco No No s. I thought I would try them ... especially after reading the reviews that raved about how good they were. I do not find them to be that good ... There are a lot of calories (220) for such a small bag ... I assume due to the sugar content. Color Me Disappointed.2Vegan GoodnessThe Choco NoNos are so yummy! The picture doesn't really give you a good indication of the size, but it's about the same size as a bag of M&Ms at the store. It's 1.63 oz (46g) per bag, is kosher parve, and it contains soy protein. The chocolates have a crunchy outer shell but it isn't colored brightly like the M&Ms since the shell is colored using natural colors (Fruit and vegetable juices) and nothing like yellow #5 or red 40. It's totally vegan and I love it. I used to get vegan chocolate Whizzers years ago but I think the company in the UK stopped importing to the US or the company went out of business. ..so if you've had the vegan Whizzers in the past, this is pretty close to it, and if you're looking for a vegan, dairy-free alternative to something similar to M&Ms this is it! I love it!5They are delicious and worth the money.Our family includes someone with life threatening allergies to numerous nuts, peanuts, eggs, as well as milk. As you can imagine, it makes Halloween, Valentines Day, Christmas, etc, a source of enormous stress and social exclusion. That's why we were overjoyed to find this product.This is one of the very few chocolate products we can safely give our loved one to enjoy. The peace of mind knowing that our loved one is safe to enjoy these foods combined with how good they actually are in reality makes this product a no brainer. The candies themselves are like large, flat, delicious m&m's. Yes, they actually have that candy coating crunch like the "real" ones!5Nasty CandyCandies arrived incredibly discolored. The taste was not very good. The shells were very hard to bite, felt like I was gonna break a tooth. (If you chew them right out of the bag, they are fairly tasteless and hard as rocks. )Original Review:I'm sorry, but as a vegan or vegetarian for the past 18 years, I've tried a lot vegan products. Some of them just plain don't taste good--or have an unusual texture. These candies fall into both categories. I hate to write a bad review because I want to support every vegan product out there. But I can't get behind these.I will finish the 3 small bags that came with the order (eventually), and then that will be that.Here's what I don't understand. If a company like Rose City Chocolate can make such delicious, soft, creamy chocolates, why can't someone make great M&M's??? There are plenty of other good candies out there too. I believe that Mary Jane's are "accidentally vegan"--those are amazing, IMHO.I'm going to hope that you guys are working on a better version of these and that in a few months we'll have some delicious M&M's to try.4My Son LOVES these!My son was recently put on a gluten free, dairy free, soy free, no preservative, restricted added sugars nutrition plan ... his favorite thing in the entire world is M & M s (Aside from pizza) and he was devastated when I told him he couldn t have them ... then I found these and ordered a trial pack .... he loves them! They do have a different shape bit that is just fine since they are their own confection ... I recommend them highly!5These are a great substitute for M&M if you are allergic to gluten/ ...My son has been dairy and gluten free for six years. When he was around three years old we had looked for M&Ms for him when we started to potty train and there was nothing. Until recently I was looking up candy for him and came a cross these!! These are a great substitute for M&M if you are allergic to gluten/ dairy!!5
