Why is this so sweet and why does it taste like chemicals???!!!!I wish i had gone for a different flavor, this is too sweet with an over powering chemical taste at the end. I got my powder yesterday and decided to try it out this morning. I was thinking I was going to mix it with almond coconut milk but i figured id give water a try first. Tomorrow im going to try the almond coconut milk. As someone else here said the Stevia makes this taste like chemicals, at least i guess its the Stevia. I have never used any products with Stevia before this either so I cant say for sure. Im hoping that by using almond coconut milk it will mask that taste a little. Also I blended my shake in the blender and it came out very smooth but foamy. I dont have a shaker cup so I dont know if it will make a difference with all the foam but I guess I can let it settle for a bit as someone else suggested. Im going to continue my search for another vegan powder that doesnt have Stevia just in case this doesnt work out. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and ill do an updated3My favorite vegan proteinWhen I started having problems digesting whey protein, I switched to vegan. Vegan proteins are typically much easier to digest, but honestly, most of them are poor substitutes; either with a terrible consistency, flavor, or macro balance. This one has all three. It is slightly thicker than whey protein, but does not congeal and is not gritty. It mixes smoothly with almond milk or water. It tastes like chocolate with the perfect amount of sweetness. I also spent a long time looking for a lower-carb vegan protein, and this one is my favorite! I use it for plain protein shakes, smoothies, bowls, and baking. I have tried both the vanilla and chocolate and would easily recommend either one.5Tastes good, helps with weight lossThis is the first protein powder I've ever used and going into it i didn't know what to expect. Everyone always made protein powder out like it was really gross. I've been using the vanilla flavor 3 days a week pre- and post workout and i use it with straight water. It's really not bad at all. I kind of like the taste with water only. I've tried mixing it with shakes, oatmeal etc, and i don't think it tastes very good when it has too much going on. I've been using it for about 3 weeks along with calorie counting and about 6 hours a week in the gym. I've lost about 5lbs. I have been taking this product post-workout (mostly strength training) for the last month and a half. If you're worried about taste, this product is on par with any flavored whey protein - I haven't drank it straight with water, but it tastes great with soy/almond milk, bananas, and peanut butter! Regarding the physical benefits of muscle recovery and strength, again I haven't noticed any difference between this and whey protein - I haven't lost any muscle mass. The taste is a bit off but I didn t expect something amazing from a plant based protein powder. It mixes really well with almond milk (I use chocolate). I would highly recommend this to anyone who has issues with whey.5Awful chemical taste. Powder is too fine and easily clouds into the air.The taste is awful. Chemical in nature. Oddly smells and tastes like coconut flour, although it doesn t list coconut in the ingredients. The powder is also too fine. When scooping or dropping scoops into cup, a plume of dust fills the air. Kind of like Kool-Aid powder if you can recall that. Also, after mixing with the shake, about two inches of foam rests on top. I ve had this issue with other veggie protein mixes before and it s gross. Going back to Vega brand which us of much higher quality and taste.1The formula is nice and clean and I like the fact it includes ...The formula is nice and clean and I like the fact it includes artichoke. However, I didn't really care for the flavor or texture. I suppose that since it contains "isolate" protein, this is why it is so fine and powdery.
