AwfulReally really bad aftertaste. The aftertaste is bitter and irritates my throat. It even ruined a fruit smoothie by making it all taste bitter. I'm probably going to have to throw this out. I'm really quite baffled by other positive reviews.1fantastic in smoothiesI use this in chocolate banana smoothies and its a great value for plant based diets or those of you who don't want all the negative side effects that come with whey consumption.5Bad taste reviews have it all wrong!After initially reading the 1 and 2-star reviews of this product, I was very concerned about my purchase. However, after receiving the product and making my first breakfast smoothie with it (almond milk, banana, blueberries, flax seed) I was extremely satisfied with both the flavor and the texture - it mixed up quite well in my Ninja, wasn t gritty at all. It didn t taste as chocolate-y as other, plant-based products, but it didn t exhibit the bad taste that other reviewers stated. It s also good value for a rice-based product.5Nope. HARD PASS.I can usually look past a protein powder whose flavor isn't the best...but holy good god. This stuff smells WONDERFUL...then some kind of horrible voodoo magic happens when it mixes with ANYTHING and it basically tastes like hot garbage. I tried almond milk, water, a shake that had spinach and peanut butter in it...nothing worked. Now I have this vat of chocolate scented hot garbage that each sip causes my stomach to try to evacuate my body in protest. I have to add sweetener, extra cacao powder...anything strong enough to hinder the original flavor.I used in baking (protein pancakes) with eggs, vanilla, sweetener and peanut butter and that was good. So I saved it only for baking and wont purchase it again. Need improvement in texture and flavor.2MY GO TO FOR PROTEINI use this stuff usually twice a day. I make smoothies with the chocolate and add a frozen banana and some cinnamon and a little dash of nutmeg. You can also put some moringa leaf tea into it. It changes how it looks but doesn't change he taste much if any. I like this product because it has AMINO ACIDS in it and that is soooo important if you are using it to replace protein you would normally get from an animal source. I've tried other protein drinks and this one is the best by far. I am doing an anti inflammatory diet and this fits in with it just perfectly.Amazons price was better than the health food store price!! and I don't have to go pick it up!5I added stevia drops to it and I'm good with thatI knew from the reviews not to expect much from the flavor of this product. If you're trying to limit your intake offructose adding a banana does not help things.1Awful tasteI have been consuming protein shakes for over 10 years. Due to my recent intolerance to pea protein, I switched to rice proteins. I have been purchasing the unflavored ones and decided to switch to a chocolate one. Big mistake. The flavor of this protein powder is awful. If you want chocolate, add cocoa powder to unflavored. Not sure what they did here, but it wasn't good.1
