Unpleasant aftertaste, is this really Original Gourmet Lollipops???Ordered these last month after trying to find this flavor, Candy Apple, in my local stores. I would find a few here and there but just got tired of driving all over the place to find one flavor... it was maddening. So I placed an order here on Amazon for my favorite flavor, Candy Apple, and received the package rather quickly (always a plus). I opened it up all excited and popped one in my mouth. Hmm this doesn't taste right... lets try another... ok maybe one more. The flavor was nothing like the Candy Apple I would purchase in the local stores here... it had a weird aftertaste that was not appealing. It also was colored differently than the ones I am used to seeing and buying in my local stores. Needless to say I did contact Amazon today and chatted with a customer service rep online. They told me to dispose of the remainder, which I did, and they refunded the full amount (got an email saying it would take 2-3 days to go back to my credit card). I will keep y'all updated on when the refund comes in but yeah I don't recommend buying Original Gourmet Lollipops off of Amazon as I am not sure where they are procuring these from... best to buy off of Original Gourmets website directly. That's what I am going to be doing right now :). Hope this helps anyone looking to buy Original Gourmet Lollipops here.1AWFUL TASTE. MEDICINALVery disappointed. Tastes nothing like pomegranates. I expected them to have a tartness to them....NOT AT ALL. They had a medicinal taste like old time cherry cough syrup. GAG! Taking them to work to see if anyone there likes them as I can't even stand to smell them.Don't expect any similarity to pomegranates.......none at all!1Blueberry is OKI thought they would be similar to the blueberries and cream lifesaver lollipops but they aren't. They are OK.2LONGEST LASTING LOLLIPOPS AND TASTE GREAT!These are SO good! I have ordered more. Mocha Latte is my favorite flavor. The Original Gourmet Lollipops last so long. I have a plastic container that I can store it in so that I don't have to finish it all at one time. Whenever my blood sugar feels like it is getting low or just whenever I feel like a sweet treat I take it out. It lasts me all day. This may even be a good way to quit smoking/vaping (get off nicotine) or a good way to diet. The price is also great considering how long they last. I highly recommend these.5So good!I had a different brand pina colada flavored lollipop so I was a little afraid to order this one online in case it tasted different but luckily it was just as good! While I don't know if it tastes like an actual pina colada I still love these. I don't notice pineapple or coconut flavor, just sweet. My only complaint with these is trying to get the wrapper off. If you don't have something Sharp you are not going to get the wrapper off it is so full of glue around the stick. Even my 16 yr old commented on not being able to get at the lollipop5Okay, but lacks flavor & color.I usually love these lollipops when I buy them in the store. They always have so much flavor, but the ones I bought on here the flavor is so small & disappointing. The coloring is off on the lollipops too. When I find them in the store, they are a dark purple, But with the ones I ordered it seems like they didn't have enough syrup in them. They are faint purple. Nothing like the photo featured online. I have bought this item twice now & have been disappointed both times, they had no flavor & where such a light purple. When I find them in the store, which is rare, those are dark purple & taste like grape. But the ones that I get from every single time had no flavor, so disappointing as it's so hard to find this flavor in the store. I had to throw so many away because they had no taste to them. What a waste of money!!!! I wish I would have sent them back1FLAVORLESS?! Super sad!!! My go to lollipops are the couture pops from Sugar Factory. I have several of their fancy blinged out handles, but their lollipops are outrageously expensive. 3 for $25 plus shipping. I was hoping to find a decent alternative with good flavor. The reviews of these were mixed, but the most recent reviews made it sound like the issue with a bad, soapy taste had been resolved, and that they were distinctly blue raspberry flavored. This convinced me to take a chance and order them. I ve only just received them, but the first lollipop I ve tried is absolutely lacking any sort of flavor at all. It just tastes like sugar/corn syrup, and there isn t the vaguest hint of anything resembling blue raspberry flavor. The lollipops are a beautiful vibrant blue, they re free of large bubbles, and not a single one was broken, but none of that matters when they re not flavored at all. I m hoping against hope that this first one I ve opened is just a dud, but realistically, the odds of that are extremely unlikely. I m not sure how to handle this. Do I contact Amazon or Original Gourmet, or both? Do I cancel my order for the bubblegum flavor that are set to arrive tomorrow? I guess I have no choice but to go back to Sugar Factory s outrageously expensive Couture Pops. What an epic disappointment. I ll update my review with any information on how Amazon and/or Original Gourmet handle this.1Hope you don't have TMJThey're delicious, but WHY ARE THEY SO BIG? I have to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to get them in there. Forget tucking it in your cheek for a few minutes to free up your hands, unless you want stretch marks on your face. And who wants to invest two hours in a single piece of candy?On the plus side, it's good to have learned the exact diameter my mouth will accommodate. I now know I could manage a certain kind of film if my current career doesn't pan out.Otherwise an excellent proxy for the cream lifesaver lollipops we had when we were kids. I can't be the only one who found these by searching for those.4Almost as good but still amazingGreat taste and love blue raspberry. However, I had some Blue Raspberry ones left from an order directly from Original Gourmet in NH. While the taste is close enough it just isn't the real thing. I will be ordering again in a week or two and will probably go with auto ship. These lollipops have been instrumental in my giving up cigarettes. They last a long time and you can chew on the stick without getting paper in your mouth. I have not even bought nicotine patches. I keep these handy and always have some when I am driving. I also have the pina coloda and the banana split flavors. These are much cheaper than cigarettes (I can buy 60 suckers for several dollars than a carton of cigs. I do wish they had a lemon cream,lemon pie or lemon icebox pie. I also use the Bali s best coffee flavor in the assortments,but that is another review.5
