Customer Reviews

Finally, my search is over! After trying so many other insoles, and spending quite a lot of money doing so, I finally found one that is truly comfortable. If you have flat feet, then you know the difficulty in finding an arch support insole that actually feels good. So many of the other insoles were too narrow and the edges, especially right by the arch, would start to dig into the side of my foot. Not these. Plenty of width and the bottom and edges of these insoles seem to take into account that most shoes aren't completely flat on the inside by tapering the edges. The other issue with other arch supports, even from this same brand, are the arches feel like a lump under your feet. These arches are gradual and support the entire length of your foot's arch without feeling like a bump. And, unlike the Superfeet insoles, these blend the different materials together seamlessly so you can't feel a gap where the material changes. Finally, there is also plenty of cushion under the ball and heel to protect your feet from the constant impact, and, that cushion also helps fill high-volume shoes so your feet don't feel like they're swimming inside your shoes. Bravo Spenco! 5Best Shoe Inserts - Spenco Polysorb Athletic Walker.Runner TypeGood: Spenco Gel Comfort---(3 Stars) this insert didn't offer/provide enough cushion for longer walks, leaving my feet tired.Better: Spenco For Her Q Factor---(4 Stars) this insert offers decent cushion, I can walk further / longer in these inserts than the gel inserts previously reviewed., or many others that I've tried.Best: Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner Athletic Insole (5 Stars) this insert allows me to walk and ear shoes comfortably all day. I can walk & bike in them, which you would expect from an 'Athletic' insole. But more important/surprising is that they also provide excellent support and comfort for 'standing' which is often more debilitating than moving. They are by far the most superior insert i've ever tried. You wouldn't go wrong with any of them, they are worth every penny. -- best of luck! 5Poor quality. They will not hold up if you do a lot of walkingI can not believe how bad the quality is. I received the order on the 25 of June and at first they felt good but then I started feeling like my sock was twisted. What I noticed was the fabric had come loose from the foam insert. I can no longer use the means pair and my wife is not comfortable with her pair. Can you believe, no return policy. Dont deal with this company. 1Decent Insoles With Both Cushioning and Mild Arch SupportI've had custom orthotics to correct overpronation which I've been using for years. They started breaking down and I've been reluctant to invest hundred of dollars into a new pair and so have been trying alternatives. These offer a balance of arch support and cushioning which is comfortable to run in, however they do not offer the same level of arch support as my custom orthotics. Interestingly, I've been able to run without pain or injury with these. I also have the green rigid bottom Spenco orthotics and the arch support is rather similar between these two. Overall, I've liked Spenco the best of the different brands I've tried and they are what I'd recommend. 4Fits a 10.5 wide shoeI just received insoles today (size women's 9-10.5), and so far they feel great in my shoes. I wear a 10.5 (E/wide) in women's New Balance and my work shoes are a men's Sketchers 8.5. These insoles fit both pairs of shoes perfectly. We'll see how my feet feel after my day of work tomorrow, I'll update my review then.Edit: upgraded to 5 stars. My feet felt great all day at work, and I'm in a busy dept in a grocery store (always on my feet/running around). I'll be getting a second pair so I won't have to constantly switch between shoes. My podiatrist recommended these and I am grateful! 5Outstanding inserts. Anti fatigue, anti shockI own two pair of these. One pair for my work boots (12 hour factory shifts) and the other pair in my running shoes. These things really help eliminate the foot pain that comes from shock or from being on my feet for too long. They are a vast improvement over the old "green" walker/runner. This cradles my foot and gives me lots of support and cushioning. With a better platform to stand on I actually feel better overall. It's like an infusion of new life into my feet. (A very small but noticeable effect). I am over 50 so I need every bit of help I can get. My feet are also less tired and there is a minor reduction in knee pain. These things are thick. The heel is 7.5mm [0.30"] and the forefoot is 6.8mm [0.27"]. That is only a heel to toe drop of about 1mm, which I like. I think most people will have trouble getting a good fit in their shoes because it takes up so much space. I have no trouble with my work boots but my Asics are a tight fit and I have to wear thinner socks. My foot is fairly thin with a medium low arch.I also have a new pair of the Spenco Cross Trainer. The Cross Trainer has a very tall and narrow heel that makes the whole shoe unstable. Very easy to turn your ankle with that insert. (which I did) The heel is a full 13.21mm [1/2"] tall and the forefoot is 5.5mm [1/4"]. Too much heel to toe drop in the cross trainer for me. The Walker Runner is much more comfortable and stable to use. This is my tenth year using Spenco inserts and I like these the best by far.Oct. 2015 I am on my 3rd pair of these and I still love them. In my work boots their estimated life is about a year. They are so thick that they take up all the head room in the toe box of all my other shoes. So much so that I only use them for the work boots. 5Improves the durability of running shoesI use to replace the factory, paper like insoles that come with running shoes that have horrid durability, perhaps good for 6 weeks. I have been told that in-sole replacements are good for one year to match their warranty. I used my last pair for longer than two years and they were still holding up and the side-up material next to my foot was perhaps just a bit shiny and had a hammered-down toe imprint effect but they still looked good. I almost felt bad pulling them out and tossing them when they were holding up yet; however, I have been told that the bounce and cushioning gets worn out despite the look of the soles. That was true since, on replacement with the new insoles, I could feel the bouncier and more cushioned feel of the new, same model insoles that I replaced inside of my running shoes. I need an in-sole replacement that is thin enough in the toe area so my toenails do not rub the inside top of the shoe and bruise my toenails. This insole is thin enough in the toe area to allow for proper clearance and avoidance of bruised toenails! Wonderful durability and cushioning. Does the trick for me! 5thinner insole still has decent arch support; more comfortable than hard plastic insolesThese work pretty well. Thinner than most arch support insoles, so they fit well in my low-profile running shoes. Still give me enough arch support. I don't like the hard plastic arch supports since those often don't match the shape of my arch and are very uncomfortable. 4I should have had insoles like these all alongFirst time I have walked smoothly and without pain in months after an injury! I should have had insoles like these all along. My symptoms and sole wear pattern fit the recommendations for this insole. The arch type support control insoles and shoes that I was previously using were just aggravating my feet.If you have pain in the front of the foot and/or outer heel, you might want to get evaluated for being a supinator rather than a pronator. 5relief!I have rather high arches, and these insoles transformed my unsupported vans skate shoes into what now feel like nike running shoes. Before these insoles I could not go a full day in the vans, now I can spend an entire day on my feet, walking around. I recently got back from a two week trip where I only had one pair of shoes with these insoles. I did a lot of activity on my feet, including quite a bit of hiking, and my usual achey legs did not bug me at all.My only criticism is that I often go sockless, and it took a little bit of time for my feet to not feel sticky on these insoles. A softer fabric/microfiber surface on top of the insole would be great.I purchased these and the "spenco total support original" and quickly returned the total support version, these felt much more supportive on my high arches 5
