Kiss that plantar faciitis goodbyeI ordered these are thought of as a reorder on Amazon. My first experience they were recommended by a gentleman at a store of course I found them after spending $300 on custom made orthotics which I could only wear one of because the other one made my foot hurt terribly. The gentleman recommended these I gave them a try and was honestly surprised the shooting pain from my plantar faciitis was placated and I was left with ability to walk without pain these are heaven sent. If you're experiencing the foot pain you wake up in the morning and can barely move or the middle of the day when your foot feels like its on fire give these a try you should be pleasantly surprised too. 5Worked wonders for my foot pain!I received my first pair of Spenco Rx Orthotic Arch Support Full Length Shoe Insoles from a local family shoe store's pedorthist. I was experiencing pain from sesamoiditis, foot arch issues, and the beginning of a bunion. A podiatrist ordered prescription custom orthotic shoe inserts for me, but it was going to be several weeks before I would have them and I needed something to ease the pain when I walked. Spenco full length arch support insoles were just the right thing. They took pressure off the painful areas of my foot and provided support where my foot needed support, but they were not painful. (I did take the advice of the pedorthist and the podiatrist and gradually introduced my feet to these by wearing them longer each day - one hour the first day, two hours the second day, and so on until I wore them all day.) I would have gone back to the same local store to get more of these but I was traveling and I wanted to put a pair of these in my new hiking shoes and boots while leaving the prescription orthotic shoe inserts in my main pair of shoes. Amazon and Spenco to the rescue! I wish I'd known about these sooner. I think using these would have prevented some of my foot issues and for sure would have eased the pain I experienced in previous years. I'm also pleased that they are affordably priced. 5Can't walk without themA podiatrist recommended these when I had plantar fasciatis in both feet. These fixed it in weeks, and I still use them in all my shoes. I've tried others, but these are the ONLY ones that work for me. I used to use the 3/4 version, but have switched to the full size because I found the top edge of the insole was irritating the ball of my feet. I think I've developed some neuropathy, which would explain why the 3/4 version worked so well before. 5Great orthotic at a reasonable priceI have been using these orthotics for years now and I absolutely love them. Can't find them in local shops anymore so I was happy to find them here on Amazon. They last FOREVER. I use them in my work, running, and hiking shoes and they last for months with little wear. I move ones that have started to wear to my other daily shoes and they can last in those for years with moderate use. The arch support will eventually start to decrease but you can easily correct it through boiling them, which you can also do if you just need more or less. They can be washed and they dry very quickly. They don't get as stinky as others I have tried. 5Two arch support comparisonBackground: I have flat feet; had plantar faciatis in my right foot a couple of years ago and currently fending it off in my left foot. I need a firm, high arch support for walking, hiking, volleyball, and spending time on a ladder, which does the most damage. Without support I'm debilitated when I wake up in the morning.I PURCHASED two arch supports for comparison, both Spenco products.First, the Spenco Rx OrthoticArch: This system has a firmer, longer base; its arch is not as high as the Total Support; as less-pronounced heel cup; and while softer to the touch, my foot seems to slip on it more compared to the other model. The problem is that the arch support goes all the way across to the lateral arch, so it is like standing on a rigid bar. Now, the outside of the foot needs support, but not raised so much. I will try and heat the plastic so I can flatten the appropriate sides.3-STARS.Second, the Total Support: This is a "semi-rigid" insole, but provides lots of support; it has a higher, firmer arch which for me, works better; it has a more-pronounced heel cup and the fabric less "slippery" so I don't slide around on it; it also has added shock absorption cushions in the heel. I didn't even realize it, but after wearing this for a day I woke up without pain in my feet the next day. This model works best for me. 5-STARS. 3So glad I found these orthodicsSo glad I found these orthodics, they helped me tremendously with my heel spur. The orthotic arch support helped shift the weight bearing down on my heel to a more neutral position. The excruciating heel spur pain level in my foot dropped immediately by 50%! For those of you without heel spurs, that a difference of being able to walk with tolerable discomfort vs. not walking at all!!! Overtime (4 months), the heel spur pain level dropped by 75% and it was due to wearing the orthotics in all my shoes. I highly recommend these orthotics. Note: They do run a size too big, so order a size smaller than you normally wear or if you don't want the hassle of sending them back for a smaller size they do trim quite easily. 5Great!I really like these orthotics. When I found out I needed orthotics to continue running, I also found out that my insurance company couldn't cover it so I obviously had to avoid buying the customized $700 ones. However, I feel that these are just fine even for someone who has "the worth arches [my doctor] has ever seen." They have a hard plastic bottom unlike most other orthotics so you can keep pounding em down when you run. They will last quite a while before you have to replace them, which will be obvious when you push down the plastic arch and see how easy it is for it to bounce back up.However, the sizing is a little weird; try buying one size bigger than your own and then buying corresponding sized sneakers as well. For example, I'm a 6 1/2 so I have 7-8 orthotics and size 7 sneakers. You're going to need the space with these in. 4These cured my plantar fasciitisAs a former pharmacy technician, I was on my feet most of the day. Having flat feet, I eventually developed plantar fasciitis which made my days excruciating and me wanting to just chop my feet off by the end of the day. After trying my doctor's recommended NSAIDs and other insoles with minor relief for months, I finally stumbled upon these. After a week of use, most, if not all, inflammation was gone and I was finally able to work a full day without pain. I have since switched careers and no longer am on my feet all day, but I make sure to slip these in my shoes on the days that I know I will be on my feet. 5Not sure if these are the best, but they are the best for meOK, like almost everyone else her, I have arch / Plantar fasciitis to the effect that I cannot walk barefoot in my own house, I always wear sneakers. I cannot say that these are miracle inserts, but one that I do know it they are consistent. My second pair is over 2 years old and they perform the same for me as day 1. So when I purchase a new pair, it is not because I need to replace one, but because I have another pair of shoes that I want to wear.So if these feel fine on day 1, they will feel fine for a very long time. I cannot recommend them any higher for being a consistent product that keep my feet out of pain. 5These Are a JokeThese things are the cheapest, thinnest excuse for an orthotic. I replaced my insole in my walking shoes with these. So my walking shoes were feeling pretty good, a nice cushioned bouncy insole came with them. I just felt I needed more support for my high arches. Well now I feel like I'm walking on cement while still on carpet. So hard! They are the thinnest of thin on a piece of thin very hard plastic and believe me, I feel like I'm walking on plastic. I can feel the ground through the bottoms of my shoes now and it hurts. And they say you can mold the arch yourself with boiling water. I am not a podiatrist or an orthotic expert. How the heck do I know if I would do it correctly. I could cause a lot of harm to my foot doing this incorrectly. Save your money folks, these are worthless. 1
