Great for fluid retention issues!I have lymphedema, this olive leaf extract really reduced my swelling a lot. I'm the kind of person who always takes double what the suggested dosage is, I want to immediately know if something is going to work! My sister, who is a nurse, says that's going to get me in big trouble one day! But anyway, I bought this olive leaf extract hoping for a reduction in blood pressure. Well, I haven't been to the doctor in the past month so I don't really know. But, I can say for sure, this extract caused about 15 lbs of fluid to leave my body in less than a month! So, I WILL be taking this again for sure.One problem though, when I bought this brand back on July 27th, it was less than $9, NOW its $17!!!! I might try a less expensive brand, but still I will be taking it again. I get my blood pressure checked again in December, I will report the results!--- UPDATE - January 11, 2019 ---OK, so I went to the doctor yesterday for my semi annual checkup. My blood pressure ("bp') was 139/84. OK so the 84 was 4 points higher than what my doctor would like, but I weigh 408 pounds! So my doctor says considering my weight, my bp is really good!So here is my history,In January of year 2017 (or maybe 2016) I was in the hospital for about 6 days after being admitted with a bp of like 208/104. To make a long story short, after experimenting with different things here is my formula for a 139/84 without losing any weight over the past three years and not going to the gym, MAYBE 10 times over that timeframe. (I don't want to say I didn't go AT ALL, but trust me, its like once every 3 or 4 months!) I know I SHOULD do those things.Anyway, in the morning before leaving for work...1 glass of cold brewed Hibiscus Flowers tea. (I buy the 1 Pound Bulk Bag of Frontier Co-op Organic brand Hibiscus Flowers, cut and sifted. I cold brew mine by having two, 1 litre containers sitting in the refrigerator and I alternate witch container I drink out of daily so one batch is always 24 hours old. Whenever I drink a glass from a container , I add in about half a teaspoon of flowers. refill and put it back int he refrigerator. )2 Olive Leaf Extract capsule. I use Swanson Olive Leaf Extract Super Strength 750 Milligram capsules.1 Magnesium Citrate tablet, containing 200 mg of magnesium. I use NOW brand1 AMLODIPINE-BENAZEPHIL 10-40MG prescription pill.As soon as I get home from work...1 glass of cold brewed Hibiscus Flowers teaJust before going to bed ...1 glass of cold brewed Hibiscus Flowers tea1 or 2 Olive Leaf Extract capsules. I use Swanson Olive Leaf Extract Super Strength 750 Milligram capsules.1 Magnesium Citrate tablet, containing 200 mg of magnesiumFrom my tracking my blood pressure over the years over the years, I think II can say the prescription med knocked it down from the 200 range into the 175 ish range. The Hibiscus flowers tea knocked it down into the 155 range. And the magnesium olive leaf combo knocked it down to the 139 area.I'm not saying the specific brands I used are better than any other brands. I just like when people post complete information so I can see if I get the same results, so that's what I'm doing here!Oh, but I can say this brand is still really great for fluid retention from lymphedema!! I figure why mess with something that's working unless somebody tells me they had really great success with a different brand. 5Severe Neck PainI took the Olive Leaf extract to lower my blood pressure. The extract gave me severe neck pain. The pain caused my blood pressure to rise but I kept taking the pills because I thought they were also anti-inflamatory. I read on line that other people complained of the same symptoms while taking Olive leaf extract, so I stopped taking the pills and my neck pain went away. It obviously does not have this affect on all or even many people but keep it in mind if you suddenly start getting neck pain that it might because of the pills. 1Highly recommend it.This offered speed fast relief from my HSV outbreak. Thank God this stuff exist. Highly recommend it. 5Five StarsAbsolutely kills shingles or any HSV outbreak. 5Surprising resultsI have been taking this for about 6 weeks, one a day. I got it to build my immune system as I work in healthcare and get around sick people daily. So far that seems to be helping but time will tell. What I didnt expect...I just feel better taking this Olive Leaf Extract! It has made me feel an emotional life...I have never been depressed, so not sure how it would help those who are, but for me, I seem to feel much happier, calmer and more centered. I can focus better and before this I had nightmares every night...now they are much less frequent. 5The first time I tried it, I took two ...The first time I tried it, I took two and felt so ill - I am also quite small so the dosage was probably too much for my size. Now, I take one a day and rarely get sick. If I do, it lasts for maybe one day. Seems to boost my energy levels up and I have cut down on my caffeine to one cup in the morning. 5Can cause severe reactionI advise using caution when first trying Olive Leaf Extract. While it may be great for many, this particular kind made me very sick. I called the company who was very helpful, plus I researched the extract online. Apparently some people can get a histamine (allergic type) reaction and/or feeling of sickness. I got both in spades. Fortunately the misery lasted only about an hour both times, but I don't want to ever try that again. The first time I took the supplement I didn't know what caused the reaction, but after the second dose with identical results, I knew it was actually the supplement. I actually felt like I'd been poisoned. This is a strong version of Olive Leaf Extract and the capsules are not vegetarian (I'm allergic to beef but have not had a problem with other capsule material although I now stick to the vegetarian type mostly). I'm not sure what about the product caused the reaction I got and it may have been that I'm especially sensitive to the supplement and shouldn't have started with such a strong version. I didn't know that of course, but am warning others who may be trying Olive Leaf Extract for the first time that it may be good to start with a milder concentration and if that works for you move up to this strength. I have no reason to doubt the quality of the product, just suggesting caution. 1Has Eliminated My Eczema!Taken twice a day this supplement has completely eliminated my eczema. I do not even need to put on lotion anymore! My skin had dry spots and patches all over it. I used to have to put lotion over my entire body everyday and it barely made a difference. This stuff is wonderful. I don't understand how dermatologists can peddle crap when supplements like this are available. 5Helped stabalize my blood pressure.This has helped keep my blood pressure normal. My Dr wanted to put me on prescription meds for high blood pressure. I asked him if I could do something natural instead. As long as I kept a log of improvement he was all for it. I went back to the Dr last week for somewhat of an emergency. My blood pressure was not over the top! This works great! (This is just my experience. I have no medical degree or certification. This is just what worked for me.) 5Happy camper hereI have issues with skin and heard this clears up skin issues and yes they did! Happy camper here. wish I could buy them in a store near me but I guess ordering in bulk will help justify shipping fees. 5
