Functional and Fashionable!I have been using a cane for the past few years due to back problems and had a hard time finding just the right one. I am in my early 30's and it seems like most of the canes I came across we're very plain and boring and/or had an uncomfortable handle.I was hesitant to buy the Switch Sticks because I didn't want a cane that may collapse on me while in use. Thankfully that is not an issue! The cane is very easy to snap together and stays put once extended. It comes with a carrying bag but I have not used that at all since purchasing this, but other users may find it to be helpful. The colorful print goes with so many different outfits and for the price I will definitely be ordering other colors/patterns.5Nice caneI do not like having to use a cane at my age (as of this review I'm under 50) but since I do, it's fun to have one that's cute. I am a little disappointed the paint on the handle has easily worn off on the edges, and the paint on the post seems to be easily scratched. And I commute via BART train which can be a little bit rough on things.I would recommend getting the attachment for hanging on counter edges, as this cane will not balance well on the edge of a counter or table on its own.But I am overall satisfied and will probably purchase another one in a different design.4I love my new cane!I am very pleased and satisfied with this walking cane. I had been looking for a new one for some time but was unable to find one that was both functional and stylish. The Switch Sticks Folding Walking Cane fits rhe bill perfectly. It provides the stability that I need, and at the same time does not look like an ordinary walking stick. Being a female of a certain age I didnot want to admit that a cane was necessary. Fashionable canes, while pretty didn't provide proper support, and ones that provided the needed support didn't fit my definition of style. I am so pleased that I saw this cane on Amazon and purchased it based on customer reviews. I highly recommend this walking stick to anyone looking for style as well as peace of mind that comes with needed support. It is sturdy, folds easily, and comes with a draw string carrying case for those times when you want to discreetly tuck it out of sight. I have received many compliments on it and again I am very happy with my purchase.5Solid and Fun Cane - Built to LastI have been putting off getting a cane. I think it's because I really didn't want to admit that I needed one.My hip is giving me problems for over several months now, was really hoping it would go away, but alas, it's has not improved.I researched canes on Amazon, and found the Switch Sticks. I decided to go with the bubbles design.The cane came and I reluctantly opened the package. The plastic type bag that comes with the cane, will hold it nicely, for carrying the folded up cane when not in use. The cane instantly unfolds and "snaps" into position, once you take it out of the bag, so be careful there isn't anyone around that can get hit with the cane. Point it downwards, definitely not upwards. The cane is solid, and I love the fun design and colors. It holds my weight very easily (I'm 5'2", and don't weigh tons), but when I'm in pain, trust me it's extreme, the cane easily holds my weight, and WOW! do I push down on the cane! I was worried about that, but it works great. The handle is easy to hold, nicely designed. If you are looking for a good solid cane, with plenty of colors and design options, you can't go wrong with the Switch Sticks Designer Folding Walking Stick.5Broke instantly.It arrived very fast..and broke just as fast. As soon as I opened it and tried to straighten it the whole top part fell off. There is no way I can get it back. I read review after review and thought this would be just what I needed...Ha...it is totally useless to me without the top section. Do you not replace or stand behind what you sell? It is a cute cane but why would I want a broken item?1This is the best cane you can get**Use the wrist strap to prevent the cane from falling on the floor** This is the best cane you can get! I have gotten a lot of compliments on the look of this, I ordered the "bubbles" design because the colors go with everything. I love the fact that it folds up into a little nylon pouch. This also comes with a little nylon Velcro strap that you place around it after it's folded up so it won't unfold on you when you are putting it in the pouch. The pouch is a thicker type of nylon so it looks like it will last a long time, also the elastic inside of the cane is thick and strong (much stronger than any tent pole I have ever seen) but not too strong that you can't pull it to fold up your cane. I do have a couple of little "dinks" in the handle from dropping it, but nothing that a black Sharpie marker wouldn't fix.5CANE = GREAT - PAINT, NOT SO MUCHI love my Switch Stick. I can take it everywhere without trying to find a place to put my cane when I'm not using it. Now I just fold it up and put it in my purse. It fits in a med size purse, no need to carry a huge tote bag. It is sturdy and feels secure. The handle is very hard plastic, so I wouldn't want to have to walk around all day with it, but for the short trips from house to car etc, it's great. I would have given it 5 stars except that even though I've only had it a little over a month, the paint is chipping off, especially around where the pieces connect. If they could fix the handle and paint I would give it even 6 stars!4Leaves a lot to be desiredRubber tip fell off. Paint on wioden handle chipped. All in the first week! And I'm on vacation. Not happy. Best thing about this came is that it's pretty. Too bad it doesn't hold up to everyday use.1Sturdy and cute!As a person who is fairly young to need a cane, I am IN LOVE with my Switch Stick! The pattern I picked ( Bubbles ) is cute which makes it a little more fun. Easy to collapse down for when I m out with friends and don t necessarily want to be seen with a cane. Very sturdy, light to carry. The handle is comfortable as far as the shape goes, though I think if you had to use it heavily all day every day it might get hard on the hands. The handle also did get a few knicks in it as I ve banged it in to cabinets and doorways (I m a clutz) but as someone else said nothing a permanent marker can t fix. I m going to buy another pattern!5Attractive enough even 8-year olds think it's coolI am young(ish) and my 8-year old feels very self-conscious of his mom using a cane. Too bad for him! But, really, I want him to be as comfortable with my new disability as possible; it's a big transition. And this fun cane has drawn only compliments. In fact, I got it a few days before Halloween and his friends asked me what I was dressed as while using it. He thought that was pretty funny. :-)It is very sturdy and attractive. Folds small enough to fit in my small purse. It's not hard to fold if you have full hand mobility but I'm a little compromised and I find holding it all together while collapsing the last part a bit of a challenge.My only complaint -- because of my poor hand coordination I have dropped it a few times when trying to rest it against a wall or myself when needing both hands...and when it falls it scrapes up the handle. It's a veneer that is easily damaged. So the handle looks worn, but otherwise it's great. And I love that the design is 3D.5
