MOST IMPORTANT feature of this item that hands down beats every other gel ice pack!THEE MOST IMPORTANT feature of this item that hands down beats every other gel ice pack is this one thing--SOFTNESS. This gel pack does what every other gel pack does--gets ice cold and is awsome for icing injuries.the one thing it does that all my other ice packs DONT do is it softens to the pont that it shapes and molds itself to comepletely surround the injury with coldness WITHOUT you having to painfully push and conform a rigid ice pack to fit the area needing iced. you can buy gel packs a dime a dozen on amazon! BUT THIS ONE --i had this draped over my shoulder while sitting in a chair at the physical therapists and was stunned how i felt the ice in the front and the back of my shoulder without any heavy manipulation. it was thee best icing of an injury i ever felt. it didnt stick out away from the injury like normal ice packs do!!! AND IT WASNT EXPENSIVE to buy! i couldnt believe it. i just had to get on here and share my experience with this brand. i wont buy another kind of gel pack ever.(and no one's paying me for this in case you wondered.)just love a product that works well and does what its supposed to do. 5 stars all the way!THANK YOU TOREX!!! 5Look no more you just found the BEST in cold therapyHave an athlete who has had his fair share of injuries and we have made our fair share of purchases in cold/hot therapy packets. We have bought wraps, ice packs, bags, cryotherapy units and so forth and although the bags were the best for us in being able to conveniently comply with forms of various body parts from knee to shoulder, the Torex Mojility was the best by far in delivery, convenience and in feeling. We leave it enclosed in a ziplock in the freezer and take it out as needed. My son had a surgery on his elbow and we had gotten him a machine to supply him with cold therapy but was difficult to place and use on an elbow without the help of another person and this Torex helps an injured warrior at icing independently and with such ease and for a long period of time. This thing stays COLD and is super soft, but still recommend a barrier between skin and this. Very malleable and great size to wrap around knee, shoulder, elbow or place on back. Excellent solution for any pain needing ice therapy! We have not tested this unit for hot therapy but we are extremely pleased with this and my son never hesitates to grab it out of the freezer and always puts it back that alone should serve as a testament to how well this works! 5Best $20 I've ever spent, hands down.This product is an absolute lifesaver. From problems with loose joints to migraines to hot flashes, this was one of the best $20 I've ever spent in my life, so long review incoming:What I use it for:I originally got this pack based on a recommendation from my physical therapist, because my SI joint likes to pop out of place all the time, isn't always the easiest to put back into place, and causes me severe pain. It has done wonders for this purpose, for my knees and other joints, but it's been great for other things, too. I have chronic migraine pain, causing my freezer to become a stash of frozen eye masks and other things for putting on my forehead, over my eyes, on my neck, etc to try to bring the pain down. Unfortunately, each of those things warm very quickly. On a really bad day, due to how flexible this pack is, even though huge, I can practically drape it around my neck and shoulders or lay it across my face to help with the migraines. This is also a good way to cool down during hot flashes.The pack itself:The pack itself is just incredible. It arrived at my house in a cardboard box, but the pack was already/still cold!!! The coolness of the pack lasts for HOURS. To keep from getting ice burns, but still keeping the pack flexible, I like to put mine in a thick pillowcase as a barrier between the pack and my skin. The pack is so flexible, that I can wrap it around my knee, or I can fold it in half to put it in the door of my freezer. To keep it colder, however, I recommend stashing it closer to the back of the freezer. For sanitary purposes, I store mine in a ziploc bag.I can't say enough good things about this pack. Just buy one. You won't regret it. 5I am a normal everyday person who spends a lot of time with a painful neck and backI would like to correct my statement about how cold this pack gets.....If you put this in the freezer, then it will get extremely cold. You MUST wrap it in a towel or it will give you a cold burn. I've only kept it in the freezer once. I took it out, wrapped it, and laid down with it beneath my neck. It stayed cold for about 2 and a half hours. If you keep it in the refrigerator, then it will stay cold for about 30-40 min. I keep it in the refrigerator so I can just pull it out and hang it on my neck. I have LOVED it.I am not a doctor, therapist or masseuse. I am a normal everyday person who spends a lot of time with a painful neck and back.What I ve been using ..I thought I was saving money by using Clay packs that can go both cold and hot. Well it may do both, but you end up using it for one or the other. They will stay hot or cold for about 30 min. However, it doesn t stay on your neck and when it is cold it doesn t mold to the area. It seems to get worse as the pack ages. So, I found another cold/heat gel pack that was made specifically for the neck. I don t remember the brand but it came from Walgreens. It is comfortable to wear and stays on your neck. However, it only holds heat or cold for about 10 min, which is not very long. Then I borrowed a cold pack from a friend and that s when I decided to get the Torex pack.The Torex pack ..It works great and is worth every penny you spend! When you pull it out of the freezer, it is very pliable and molds to the area very well. It is made of a thick plastic so I think it will hold up very well. My sister and I were surprised that you can actually keep it in the refrigerator, or the freezer. To me, it is only slightly colder when it comes out of the freezer. In both situations, it will stay cold much longer than the clay pack. The cervical pack will wrap and mold to your neck. It is heavy enough that it will stay around your neck as long as you don t make any sudden movements. It is more expensive then something you would find in Wal-mart. However, it works better and, I believe, will last longer as well. In fact, I have liked it so much, my sister has a neck pack, my parents have a 10 x 13 pack each, and I plan on getting a 10 x 13 for myself. 5By Far the Very Best Ice Pack on the Market Today!Five years ago, I was struck with a (still) mysterious disease that causes extreme muscular and skeletal pain to the point that even with heavy doses of pain medication and patches that I have never since had a pain free day. My chiropractor told me three years ago that my particular issues would be relieved better by cold packs than what I had assumed would be heated pads. Indeed he was right. Since that time I have tried every cold packet I could purchase and all have been unsatisfactory: poor quality and would rip in a short amount of time; would not get cold enough; would not stay cold for very long; and inflexible o they would not conform to changing positions. This Torex Mojility cervical pack has none of these issues. It far surpasses any cold pack I have tried in all range of prices. I am so pleased with it that I am now going to purchase the many other Torex cold packs for other parts of my body. I rarely leave reviews because most products of any kind I find mediocre. However, this produced surprised me as to is such high quality, I felt it I would be remiss in not allowing others to read of my experiences. 5So far, so good--and, my busy physical therapist uses them in her practice.I bought two of the oversized packs as part of my rehab for knee ACL reconstructive surgery. I'm one week out from surgery and so far these packs have been great. These packs are the same used by my physical therapist; she told me they get a ton of use in her office and she has had no problems with leakage and tears. They're great at molding to the shape of my leg and they stay cold a long time. This morning, for instance, I iced at about 6 a.m. and four hours later the pack, which had been out of the freezer that whole time, was still cold enough that I was able to put it over my knee for swelling relief while I ate breakfast. I spent a lot of time searching for reliable packs because I know how important they are for recovery from knee surgery, and the best recommendation I could get was from my PT. So far, these packs have lived up to all expectations. 5What happened to the nice ice pack we fell in love with???The issue is....I've ordered this 'same' neck cold pack multiple times but this one came in feeling almost empty of the gel and instead of feeling soft, it feels hard in places. We literally own 4 of these between 2 different households as we HAD loved them but I don't know if the manufacturer recently changed something in the last 6 months - but this is NOT like the others we have. Very little gel. When it is in freezer, instead of being able to feel the gel and massage it a bit to move a little of the gel around (even frozen it was still 'soft to the touch'), it has hard parts all the way through it.I'm just stumped. Unsure if someone is selling a new/fake product but I NEVER EVER leave reviews despite spending a nice chunk of money...and I've run into buying a knock off of something that I thought was from the original manufacturer issue. Maybe there was something wrong from the start with this product but we don't see any leakage, etc. So disappointed 1A must have for surgery healing and physical therapyI found out about these packs while at ATI Physical Therapy for a hip replacement. These are so large and hold cold so well that I put it in a pillow case before putting it on my leg with pants on. The packs do loose the coldness after about 30-60 minutes based on Summer/winter months, but you should use caution when keeping gel packs on for that long. I am glad they warm up over time as I have fallen asleep using them.. I love that it hugs my wounds so nicely allowing me to relax. The packs are soft and smooth gel that really contours to my body. Sure beats a bag of ice. Its so helpful that I got a second one. And yet they are big, but they can fold or lay flat in your freezer. These are amazing. I have had a second surgery now for complications from the replacement and these packs are my best friends. They are huge and I love them. 5Long-lasting cold!!!Let me tell you, this is the best ice pack ever!!! My husband had rotator cuff shoulder surgery so we needed an oversized ice pack for post-surgery and for after the many therapy sessions. It gets very cold (he loves super cold ice packs), enough where my husband absolutely had to put a towel over it for the first 15 minutes, and then could handle taking the towel off for another 30-45 minutes of cold pack treatment! We had bought another brand of oversized cold pack, but that one does not come near the long-lasting effectiveness of this brand!!! Now my daughter uses it for her injured knee, at least when my husband isn't using it when he overdoes it with his shoulder, since everyone in the family prefers this particular cold pack. So it has gotten a lot of use so far and held up marvelously. Would definitely recommend this one over any other cold pack for long-lasting icing. We just fold it in half and keep it on the top of other stuff in the deep freezer and it has not been punctured or deteriorated at all and is always ready when needed. 5best ice packThis is comparable to the ice packs at physical therapy. During a PT session for a shoulder injury, I lamented that none of the many ice packs I had tried came close to the size and weight of the ice packs there. This one was recommended, and it has not disappointed. It gets cold enough to ice your injury within a couple hours, but it feels even better once you leave the ice pack in the freezer overnight. It is very flexible, so it can go on any part of the body. The size and weight generally help it stay in place on my shoulder simply by draping it there, although you can't really walk around and expect it to stay in place. I use a flannel pillowcase to cover the ice pack when I'm using it, and it is the perfect size. For anyone with chronic pains, or acute injuries, this is a great ice pack. 5
