Scratched up lenses!Suspected these were the reason my last pair of glasses got scratched all to heck. When I got new glasses I used a different brand of wipes, they didnt clean quite as well but they were a much softer cloth. When I ran out of them I foolishly went back to these and immediately started noticing scratches again. I have stopped using them again now and the scratches are not getting worse. Use caution. These have ruined 2 pairs of glasses that both have had all the fancy coatings and protectants on them 1Takes too many wipes to clean eye glassesOriginally I had these at 4 stars but I now have to lower this to a 3. Using these on your eye glasses can prove a pain in the you know what. Sometimes it takes THREE of these to get each my wife or my glasses clean. We have another brand at work that works with only using 1 wipe on both of our glasses. Will have to keep using this brand because the aforementioned ones we have at work aren't available for consumers to purchase and on top of that this brand is all we can find in brick and mortar stores.The only thing I have figured out to help this along is to wash your hands with soap+thoroughly dry them, wash the lenses off with distilled water, use a clean microfiber cloth to dry THEN use these wipes. But that isn't a quick process is it? I will say these work well getting finger prints off of your notebook or tablet screen. 3Will Improve Lens LifeI used microfiber clothes for a long time before buying these. I used to use the same microfiber cloth on my lens as I used for my glasses. I didn t realize how bad this was until I seen a YouTube video explain that it wasn t good. You can transfer oil from your face to your glasses, then transfer the oil from your glasses to your camera lens. This will leave streaks on your lens. I also seen a few misguided videos like FroKnowsPhoto saying that you can breath on your lens then wipe it with a cloth. I later found it this is bad because your mouth is full of germs and your saliva has acid in it that can break down the lens coating. I finally came across these wipes. I decided to look at a few YouTube videos and came to the conclusion that these wipes are the best thing I can use on my camera lens. Not only on my camera lens, but on my glasses too! First you re going to want to take a rocket blower and blow all of the dust/dirt particles off your lens. Then open a lens wipe and clean your lens thoroughly. Keep wiping until the lens wipe starts to dry out. That s all there is to it! No drying it off because the rest of the liquid will evaporate leaving your lens perfectly clean. Conclusion? BUY THESE WIPES AND SEE FOR YOURSELF! 5Great lens cleanerI had used all my previous supply of zeiss wipes and run out. I tried to get by with the reusable lens cloth in glasses case, with an extra in purse, and in my car. Seems my makeup smudged my glasses or tip of eyelashes would touch and smudge and stick on my glasses lens ,or some such. My lens would not stay clean or really get clear. Then I resupplied myself and my husband with the individual wipes and --crystal clear lens!! I start the day and throughout the day, using zeiss wipes! The lens cloth is ok as backup, but zeiss wipes cleaner squares are best ever. Always easy access, portable, and efficient! With progressive lens special coatings etc, I was told to only use water and lens clothes. Blurry vision started. Thought it was my eyes! Zeiss wipes to the rescue--keeps lens looking new and vision clear! Great product for us! 5One StarDo not buy pure alcohol scratched my wife's lenses. 1The Real Thing and Works WellAfter reading so many Zeiss wipe reviews from different sellers where people received their packets in a bag or ruined their glasses by making them white, I was worried about buying them on Amazon instead of at JCPenny Optical store where I had previously bought a box of 60. I bought them and was happy to see them arrive in an official looking Zeiss box and the 200 came just like the box of 60. I have tried 2 wipes and they are moist enough to clean without being too wet and leaving spots. The price was much better than the box of 60. The box of 200 is a much bigger box so I put the packets in my 60 count box.I can clean two pairs of glasses with one wipe. I have the anti-glare, sun darkening lenses. 5These Wipes are OK but they do leave a lot of residue... NOT Great for Camera LensesThese little wipes are OK for cleaning general glass (like maybe sunglasses) but they leave too much of a hazy residue for use on camera lenses :/ Which is what I bought them for in the first place.If you look closely at the pictures I've attached, you can see that before the wipe, the lens was pretty clean... but after the wipe, it has these spots on it. That's from whatever liquid is on the wipe.These CAN work well as a first pass just to get smudges off but then you'll need to come in with a second pass with a microfiber cloth... what I've found works better: Just a microfiber cloth and some good lens cleaning spray like Camkix lens spray. Leaves the lens looking so much cleaner than these... unfortunate... I really wanted these to work well :/ 3I can't function without my eye glasses and take extremely good care of themI won't use anything else on my glasses. I can't function without my eye glasses and take extremely good care of them. My last pair were almost three years old and not one scratch! If they are not on my face they are in their hard case and I keep my Zeiss wipes everywhere around the house, at work and in every purse/bag that I own. I use them continuously. Every now and then you will pull a dry one out of the little package or one that is barely moist but it's not often at all and they are not overly wet like others I have tried that end up leaving tiny water spots and streaks on your lenses. The Zeiss wipes clean your glasses exceptionally well without leaving streaks, unless you over clean until the wipe starts to dry out. 5They have just the right amount of moisture in each wipe.These lens leaning wipes are the best that I have ever bought. Was not even aware of the Zeiss brand of lens wipes till our dentist gave us a small pack of them. They have just the right amount of moisture in them as other brands I have purchased are too dried out and don't clean well. I even use these on my computer monitor, and cell too. I have been very pleased with the quality of these wipes and plan on ordering them again. 5Absolutely the best but don t think it s gonna work for more than 20 seconds.....I wear glasses, and also have significant Canon L glass in my collection. I ve tried every lens cleaner out there, and every cloth. So far the best has been the microdear lens cleaning cloth. These wipes top that. They must have a high percent of alcohol, which evaporates quickly, so you ve gotta move fast. I usually set up my glasses, and get near a bright light. Rip open the package and quickly move across both front and back of one lens. Move spots on the cloth (Which is semi dry already) and do the other lens. After about 20 seconds, it s too dry to use. HOWEVER, you get a streak free, optically clean surface the first time. Just have to make sure you didn t miss anything or you are gonna waste a second. The large bottles of Zeiss fluid with the microdear is my every day go to, cause it s much less expensive per use, but every now and then say what the.......(see Risky Business for the rest of this quote) 5
